Thanks for the link. I bookmarked it for later viewing.

I didn't realized that a squeeze page require so much thought and copy, but now I do.

    Nice to meet you Pope.

Depending on the traffic source, it probably does pull 50% or higher.

That style of squeeze page pulls like crazy. Add in some scarcity or exclusivity and you're cooking with oil.

    umm.... no.

i've tested that page extensively... along with 20+ other styles - to the tune of tens of thousands of dollars on paid traffic and that was nowhere NEAR the winning squeeze page.

Trust me if that page was doing 50% you'd see everyone using it on their launches.

    Are they?

    nope.

If I'm not mistaken, that format was the winning one for Double Your Dating several years ago. I could be wrong.

So Dave, what works for you today? I'm curious. Can you point us to a few samples either by you or someone else?.

hey rick, eben's said that page wasn't his winning page... his quiz one was the big winner... and if I remember from talking with eben a few years ago, they did not test the page.

You've seen my stuff all over the web... The WARNING squeeze you see everyone swiping all over the place was me.

seen frank kerns squeeze pages for the mass control launches?

Seen the 'magic bullet" squeeze page?

seen the PLF 2.0 squeeze page?

    All my stuff.

hey rick, no worries dude... i'm serious, I've tested them all out and that one wasn't anywhere near the winner... for me. others might have other experience.

you'd think that dyd one would crush, because its been up there forever and lord knows how many millions of optins its gotten for them.... but that doesn't mean someone is testing their stuff.

    best thing to do:

Take took a bunch of diff layouts/copy and just run a massive test to see which converts better.

once you find the winner, drill down with different copy.

      Hey Dave,

Interesting about Eben and crew not testing the optin page.

John Carlton said the big take away he got from one of his big ticket trainings was the testing thing.

He's also mentioned about Eben switching things live and seeing the changes in a few minutes.

But as you say test big time yourself.

Traffic source could be a bigger variable than most people think too.

      All the best,
      Ewen

I agree... the look and feel is always the first split test for me too.

Once you have that, we move onto testing headlines.

Not to say the style in the video is the BEST. But it does consistently pull at 45% to 50% or more for us out of the gate and that style is always part of the look and feel split testing when we start. It's very easy to throw up.
