Huh? You want copy written by a robot? Umm....

Or do you mean something to structure it, suggest points, do the layout, or what have you?

Or by "copy," do you mean article content? If so, that's not what this forum is for.

This forum is about sales writing. Done by humans.

I think you completely misunderstood. I meant something like Microsoft Word, Wordpad, e.t.c.

      Oh, hehe...

I use Notepad. I use Notepad for everything, actually - even coding HTML.

Me likey the Notepad. It's simple and doesn't get in my way.

OpenOffice.org - The Free and Open Productivity Suite

    or http://www.neooffice.org for Mac OSX

you can export as a PDF or html, xhtml, .doc, .odt. You can do a page preview or see what the document looks like in a web browser. You can also drop in graphics, hyperlinks, movie and sound files and a bunch of other stuff. And the best part? Doesn't cost you anything as it's Open Source.

Or this but I heard recently that 30 or so developers left the openoffice project. Wonder what their plans are now.

The new openoffice is libreoffice allegedly:

LibreOffice Productivity Suite - The Document Foundation

It's based on the same code. And right now it's being aggressively developed...

I work straight in Dreamweaver or Kompozer.

But I do mostly web work and give my clients straight HTML.

If you're doing offline stuff... probably InDesign.

What I do is, I spend 2 or 3 days doing research, research, research and really get the subject matter implanted in my brain, I never ever start my sales copy directly to my computer, never!!! if you have a sales copy, try writing this copy on to paper, good old fashioned pen to paper, and as you write, you will start to iron out any problems, the copy should flow, you should write as you speak, I tend to record my sales copy and play it back, this tells you alot,it will certainly tell you wether or not if it flows...

I like Kompozer for web copy. I like seeing how the page is going to look and they Q10 typewriter, while cool, will not let me do that. I do see other uses for it though.
