How to Avoid Leaving Money on the Table as a Writer?

I've recently gotten into the article writing business and I'm wondering how I can get the most money for my time as possible. I've joined Constant Content and am setting up a website to self host/sell my writing as well.

My plan is to sell articles for usage rights on both sites while offering unique and full rights licenses just on my website in order to get the full worth (constant content takes a 35% commission from sales).

I also plan to package my articles occasionally and sell as WSO's as demand for the specific niches permits.

Is there anything I'm missing in this business plan in order to maximize my income? Any other writing sites I should use to sell my work? Thanks for the help!

Get more business than you can handle, then abandon the bottom 15%
and pursue replacing it with higher-paid work.

You have to be willing to walk away from clients that balk when you
raise your fees. If you write well, some will come back to you
and pay your new fee without further protest, but you have
    to be firm.

In some cultures a deal cannot be made unless the buyer goes
through a haggling process where he or she makes an insulting
offer, the seller freaks out and makes a counter offer, and
so forth. This is a system of buying that you'll have to adjust
to if you work with clients from cultures that do this.

Good advice, thanks! Is it true that the price of writing is going up drastically since the last Google algorithm change?

If you're looking for quality you'd have to pay more. Probably a good idea to invest in better writers after the latest content farm alg. switch
