Your Top 10 Issues of Gary Halbert Letter?
I've tried to pay for The Gary Halbert Letter. For example, I've bought the offline copies of Maximum Money in Minimum Time and The Boron Letters.
Scott Haines used to sell a bundled book of issues specifically related to copywriting. I recently asked if he still sells it, so I could buy it -- no dice. He took it off the market.
So I'm stuck with free, it appears.
Now, I'm happy Bond and Kevin Halbert have made their Dad's letter free online. But in some ways, I wish they would take it down, as people never value free.
Further, what makes The Boron Letters and Maximum Money worth buying even though you could find all the issues for free online?
The answer is the packaging -- Gary specifically chose to cover those topics. The editorial decisions Gary made are what makes those two books valuable. If Gary thought these ideas were his most important - that means something, and is worth paying for.
Is this making sense?
It's the same reason why reading the Drudge Report is valuable, though Drudge rarely writes anything original. It's the same reason why the editor of the New York Times gets to pick what stories are on the front page. "Information is free, but costly to consume and learn. People will pay for more efficient packaging."
Anyway, here's my problem. I want to read the Gary Halbert Letter on my Kindle (you can send websites to your Kindle and Amazon will format it). I have limited time to re-read these, and want to stick only with the best.
So I'm looking for suggestions of which issues to upload. I'm going to summarize YOUR editorial decisions to maximize my reading of these newsletters....
1) What is your absolute favorite issue of The Gary Halbert Letter?
2) If you had to chose to save just five issues before the free version was taken down, which would you keep?
3) If a newbie asked for which issues of The Gary Halbert Letter are "must read" what would you suggest? (Please don't list "All of them")
Thanks in advance, and take care.
