I'm really tempted to buy this:

5 Freelancing Mistakes that Have Cost Me at LEAST $105,000 in Lost Fees

anyone bought this and put it into action?

Interesting product, I think the whole "Clients Suck" thing damages their credibility, but overall, I think it could be good.

It worked for Halbert. Of course, he was Halbert.

Ha, no. "Clients Suck" was a famous saying of Halbert.

                  Bass, ling or monkfish.

                  This product...

Let's give you a grilling then...

Why do you want to buy it?

What perceived problem will it solve for you?

What frustration do you have that right now you need a solution for?

Can you not find the answer you need from elsewhere?

If you're exceptionally busy, booked out solid as you know you are at the moment, will buying this new product help or hinder your progress right now to get everything else done?

Not a criticism as you know, just curious...

well I did want to buy to see if this could teach me anything new and so I could start charging much more...but as Joe128139 points out, I'll learn more from the forum....

...admittedly, I'm a sucker for information...you should see my library, I LOVE books and reading and unfortunately am every marketer's dream...

Each year my book collection and digital book collection grows bigger and bigger and gather dust (some of it digital) in the hope that one day I'll have the time to read it all!

....perhaps I should change the title from 'why client's suck' to just plain 'sucker!'

Arfa, there is a lesson right there...how to write a sales piece that appeals to other copywriters and to those who fear that they might miss out on something that others know.

                      Best,

Halbert did it because he wanted to pre-qualify his clients by letting them know what kind of clients he does NOT want. This made him look as if he didn't need any clients which is precisely what he had intended to do in the very first place. Because when he didn't look starving for clients, more clients would come to him. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.

I wasn't overly amazed by the sales copy or testimonials. It probably isn't anything that you couldn't learn in this very section. I also don't like products that advertise "Avoid blah blah blah mistakes." Mistakes are going to happen regardless. You NEED them to be successful.

I haven't bought it. Maybe I should, but I've been in business nearly 8 years so I feel I have a handle on things.

If I were getting started though, I wouldn't hesitate at all. I know Michel Fortin is a copywriting genius and he's one of the few testimonials. Michel has singled out Jason Leister (the creator) for putting out awesome content. And JF Straw is a genius in his own right.

If you're just getting started, I bet it's way more than worth it.

    Cheers,

I was snooping around the site trying to find out who was even offering the video. The only way I found out was in a testimonial (Leister).

That was a big turn off to me since I really didn't know who was "talking" trying to sell me these secrets - I suspect that was probably on purpose though because of low name recognition.

Overall, the letter will probably pull some pretty good sales.

I suspect he paid Fortin for consultation and coaching services - thus the testimonial from Fortin, and Sylvie Fortin who I believe is his wife.

If you click on some of the links at the top of that page, you can get some tips on dealing with clients for free.

Edited: Either I need new glasses, or that name and signature were added after I made my comment - oh well, who knows, maybe I'm just getting old

I paid for the webinar and watched the replay. Most of it is fairly basic stuff that you would know if you've done this for a while (like a 1-2 years). It was a good refresher course and although it was 80 minutes long, still has some gold nuggets everyone should know of. Hope this helps! Dean

Dan Kennedy has written a lot of stuff on training clients to make your life easier. Reading it changed my professional life and led to my first real taste of success without stress.

If you go to amazon you can probably grab some of his books for less than $5.
