one thing i've seen kinda die down is squeeze pages... we aren't hearing much talk about them as much as we used to...

anyone using them?

how are your numbers? up? down? steady?

Other than my 'warning' one which seems to be everywhere these days (thanks frank!), anything else you're seeing thats doing well?

    Hey Dave,

I am using a squeeze page system but I am a newbie so I am not sure how to do numbers yet.

Any suggestions on how to track the conversion numbers?

Dave, I have one with a dirty great pulsating red button in the middle of the page and the line "Click here to blow up Iran" and the response is going off the Richter! And no - I'm not sharing it.

@The Copy Nazi.....HAHAHAHAHA!!! Awesome!!! I feel bad for the innocents that have to be subject to people of that mentality. At the same time, I bet they are thinking the same things about us.

most of my clients are only including them on the exit pops if anywhere... too many fake emails...

i'm seeing a switch over to a really low priced front end offer to build a buyers list...

guess it depends on your biz model and market - but that's what i'm seeing...

btw - re: blow up Iran - friggin hilarious

hmmm.... not getting the fake email issue (must be a MMO thing?)

problem is... when you're buying traffic, most, if not all, don't allow exit pops...

also the buying cycle in this niche i'm in tends to be a bit longer than MMO or some others...

Squeeze pages are feeling a little bit of Google's tough love policy which is now checking CTR scores and social cues before ranking websites. Unless quite a lot of marketing is already in place it is unlikely that you will see them work quite the way they did pre-Google Panda update.

wouldn't be too sure of that... i've got a 'squeeze' page ranking very high for many competitive terms.

you just gotta know how to do it *correctly* for google :-)
