Still, I was young and dumb. Many times we had the same conversation.
"What do you want to do?"
"Oh, I don't care. Whatever you want to do."
Today, having spent several hours investigating my client's competition, I see the same thing over and over. Businesses are too friggin nice. Or dumb.
Ask for the sale!
And I'm not just talking sales letters. Articles, reviews, tweets, blog posts, landing pages. So much suffering.
Come on, Tycoon. Tell people what you want to do next. That's why it's called a CALL to action. You have to CALL! TO! ACTION!
Do you want people to call your free recorded message? Or enter their email for an ecourse? Or sign up for a marketing audit?
Great!
Ask them to do that. Don't just say "Click here." Why so shy? Use action words, POWER words.
Sometimes, there is nothing at all! No "Click here," "Call today," or anything else.
Don't worry. We've all done it.
Tell people what you want them to do next, Tycoon. Be friendly, be charming, whatever you want. But ask. They'll love you for it.
