Remote Controlled Marketing
So there's this marketing technique I've noticed for some time.
But for some veterans this might not be anything new.
Anyway, here's it is:
Let's say people post requests for help or have certain questions or there's some major debate going on in a public forum like this one for e.g.
What some marketers (who I know are reading this) do is to address those issues in their newsletters exclusively to their subscribers.
Maybe this is something you already do.
After all if the big boys are doing it, it must be working, right?
It's rare to see the issues being addressed directly in the place of origin.
Now that's what I called Remote Controlled Marketing!
My only concern is that the people that raise those issues might not always be on the list of the marketer that addresses it privately.
Which means, they miss out.
Maybe this is a strategy to attract more people (that didn't know about this strategy) to their lists.
Who knows?
I'm sure there are good reasons for addressing issues in this way.
I'd be quite interested to know what they are (just for educational purposes)
Please do feel free to share them in your newsletters at the earliest opportunity.
Cheers!
