Can someone please explain exactly what a copywriter is and does?

What services do they offer?

    We get called in to sell more of the clients products and services.

    Mountains of books have been written on how we go about that.

    And there will always be debate on the best methods to achieve the original goal.

    A copywriter is someone who writes copy for a living. A copywriter is someone who is highly interested in the success of your product or service.

  • A copywriter is the missing link between a product (any form of value) and the market (people willing to pay for it) as long as the sales are made in print and can be quantified.

    He's not a content writer ...
    Nor a ghostwriter ...
    Nor a designer ...

    He may come to the table with these skills but in essence, he's a sales person in print.
