Copywriters for Banner Ads

Hi,

I'm looking to have a load of banner ads created for our service and was wondering the best people to speak to. (728x90, 300x600, 300x250, 300x300, 468x60, 160x600 and some smaller ones)
I have spoken with numerous designers - but they need to be led - they can put something together that is pretty - but i'm very doubtful it will convert.

Any ideas guys???

    the best banners are actually the ugly ones.

    You can create them yourself using Windows paint.

    Basically you would create something
    that is like a regular classified ad.

    You can also hire a copywriter for the text but honestly you can do it yourself. You managed to write the post. Not much more is needed.

      Yes - come up with some good copy and instruct your designers to create banners that emphasize it... But c'mon, you already knew that, right?

      The last thing you need is to spend money on a pricey designer. And make sure you're tracking your conversions from each individual banner. CTR is secondary to how well the banner generates conversions.

        As I'm sure you know, just like with any other type of sales copy, it's unlikely the first banner ads you create will give you the highest return.

        However, there are some "tricks of the trade" that can help minimize your loses before finding the winning banner ads.
