Copywriting.com course question

Guys, does anyone of you have tried to use copywriting.com's course how is it? I'm thinking into taking this course --- or should I just read some of the recommended copywriting books from the "Best Copywriting Books ever..." thread?

BTW, I'm planning to learn copywriting to add into my affiliate marketing tools.

Thanks in advance.

  • I've never heard of that course before (sorry). Something I would invest in, however, is an ESL course. The flow of your squeeze page is broken up by words that just don't fit correctly... Or even just a book on writing in English. Heck, even just read a bunch of those copywriting books (or even just salesletters) and emulate the way they write. It'll probably help a lot!

Hope I didn't offend, I know getting the pattern for another language is tough... I'd hate to write copy in a language other than English, because I could never sound like a native speaker! In fact, I probably couldn't even write as well as you do in another language, so kudos for that.

  • Glad I didn't offend Just wanted to point that out, because a lot of ESL speakers and writers aren't aware of the differences between "proper" English and "spoken" English, and you're on the road to being a good copywriter - I'd hate to see you lose out on sales just because of that

I am tutoring a young woman who is struggling to express herself as a native speaker for a written essay test she must pass to become a teacher. She is probably more articulate and has a bigger vocabulary than 80% of native speakers, but there are many grammar errors and awkward sentence construction in much of what she writes. I am in awe of anyone who speaks a second language well enough to even communicate at the most basic level.

I agree that ESL courses will help your writing flow in a more natural way. You have my respect for your efforts because I too know I would not do very well communicating in a language other than my own. Good luck!
