Who can I book to do a strategy session with me?

Hi,

I have two products out on the market. Great copy and great USP's. They should be raking in dough right now but they're not.

I am looking for someone that I can book for a 1 hour consultation or something that can help me decide on what to do.

This should be a "guru" or at least someone as knowledgeable as the gurus. Someone who have long experience online and who has made 7 figures online.

Any suggestions?

    My suggestion: Stay away from any so called "guru".

    I would be willing to take a look free of any charge

    How did you pre-launch go and how many affiliates do you have on board?

    Also how big is your current list?

    Since you expect somebody who is a millionaire to consult you, I believe you are ready to pay a low 5 figure amount?

    There are plenty of very well experienced and knowledgeable people on this forum, who can consult you. As Max said, don't go after the gurus, gods, etc.

    Also a 1 hour consultation wouldn't really be worth it, nor helpful. Can you learn how to market your product perfectly within an hour? Of course not.

    You need someone to create a comprehensive report for your products and tell you what to do exactly. I have done such reports for clients in the past. The average report was 50 pages long pdf file, created especially for the client.

    There's a number of top-notch copywriters and marketers in this forum who could help you. It will depend on what niches your products are and what your budget for consulting might be.

    Case in point, there are some niches where I do not consult or write copy in because it's a professional conflict of interest... either my own info-products or ones I've written for clients where contractually I am in a non-compete status.

    I don't know of many "Copywriting Gurus" that are sitting around waiting to do strategy sessions.

    But, you know what would be cool? You show up at John Carlton's house with a massive bag of cash. Not the Canadian money we have here in Toronto (91 cents on the dollar) But, real American crisp hundreds.

    And you get there and you hear in Johns back yard him playing some kind of rock song, let's say..."Cat Scratch Fever" by Ted Nugent.

    lo and behold the back up singers are Bond Halbert, Jimmy Curley, Doberman Dan ,Scott Haines, Lorrie Morgan-Ferro, David Deutsch and Harlan Kilstein playing the spoons.

    Now that's a 6 and 7 figure knowledge and strategy session. The point? Wanting and actually doing. It doesn't mean you can't do it. Just on a smaller scale.

    Scores of people have asked and rec'd my hour...and this is what they got:

    A whole bunch of questions. Such as:

    Who is your ideal customer? Where does he live? WHY do you think she is the ideal? Where does your "great copy" meet this person? At what time? WHY?

    Your claim of great copy and great USP coupled with no sales means the wrong people are reading it or the right people at the wrong time. So, the consult would take a lot of time looking at your prospects. Why?

    Because great copy and great USP to the right target at the right time means great sales.

    So, I'd question your prospecting. Your lead generation. How you qualify your target and the method you get them to your great copy...and of course, I'd have to question that too. Because,

    it just doesn't add up. I've beaten the NPGS (Net Profit Generator System) formula to death here at WF and it sez...

    Prospect X Product X Promotion X Media gives you a winner IF all parts are rated a 10. In your mind, from your description, your copy is a 10.

    So, if the promotion is a 10, then one of the other 3 factors is weak. It would appear without knowing more, that your PROSPECT is less than a 10...even a weak promotion with a great USP will generate profits IF the Prospect is a 10...if they have been qualified for the product.

    OR, you could have the first 3 parts great, but your media, the place where your prospect meets the promotion is weak.

    By using a framework, in this case the NPGS formula, then you would be better able to figure out how to fix it, how to generate the profits. By keeping it simple and reducing it to only four parts, you should be able to ask the right questions of whomever you confer with. An hour goes by fast...so make sure you know what to ask, even before you decide on who to ask, OK?

      I strongly disagree. I have helped countless confused people in just 10 minutes. When you've been working on your own and don't really know which way is up, it can be really energizing to be told where your assumptions are incorrect, where your strategy is off target and what you have overlooked - or whether you're doing everything right.

      And as for the idea that competent people don't offer one-off strategy sessions, that's also not true. Loads of business coaches do this at no charge for a new client. I charge because I know how much value I offer right off the bat.

      Start your post with what you have already done. What successes you've had. What courses you've taken? Who are you working with now?

    I think I'll see what Joe needs & help him out as much as possible with regards to the marketing strategy part. I had love to help him. However, it does seem that he is not quite clear & specific about what he wants.

    Does he wants the sales offer to be tweaked?

    Does he wants the traffic strategy to be revamped?

    Does he wants the sales copy to be re-written?

    Does he wants the pricing strategy to be revisited?

    Does he need help with split-testing?

    Jo, What do you really want?
