Yes! I have to thank you for spurring me into action - digging up these ads I wrote for a financial adviser client a few years ago like I'd been meaning to. I uploaded em here:

    CassingenaCopy.com/financialads.zip

Client actually used the 1st one as a broadcast fax to a list of 647 and got 200 and something bookings, even though I designed them as display ads. The other source of accounting stuff I thought of is apparently Jeff Paul used to do marketing stuff for accountants, I don't have any of that stuff but if you can find it, it'll be good.

I did some work with a client who was an accountant a while ago.

She was trying to cold-sell a cloud accounting SAAS service to business owners.

We ultimately decided that, since the clients were not accountants, it was important to do 2 things:

    1. SIMPLIFY the concepts and instructions involved (this is how basically every business does B2C marketing these days).

    2. Make it exciting; try to frame it as "more profits" instead of just "saving money."

The campaign did well and the marketing we used got a lot more views than the stuff she was using before.

This angle I think is pretty much fool proof if you're trying to sell accounting services to non-accountants.

If you're selling TO accountants on the other hand you might want to be more technical, establishing your credentials by dropping lots of technical jargon and familiar concepts.

I'm less sure about that in general though.
