High Traffic Low Conversion Help Needed

Hi Guys,

I would like some help in my situation with bad conversions. I believe this is due to my sales copy but just want to clear something up.

Background - I am selling online kung fu system for people to learn on the internet as part of a membership site $47 a month. Currently advertising through FB ads, I have 24K fans on our fan page and the ads have an average click through rate of 4.5% on my ads so they work well and drive good traffic to the opt-in pages.

The Issue - The issue that i face is that my conversion on the sales is not great, I am aware that my sales copy needs some work and I am on that but what I want to clear up is this...

Most of my fans and opt-ins to my email list are from countries like Philippines, India, Pakistan, Egypt, Vietnam, Turkey, Brazil, Greece which these countries may find it hard to pay for the monthly fees due to exchange rate and the average wage of these countries (Screen shot attached). So to me it seems like they lap up the free stuff but never end up actually getting their credit card out??

My question is shall I lower the monthly fee to cater for the masses of my fans/list or keep the price and just work on the conversions through sales copy and email newsletter??

sales pages:

Wall Bag Drills Sales Page - Improve Your Wing Chun Online

Help is much appreciated!

I think you have answered your own question, you are targeting the wrong crowd.

You can't really test your sales funnel if you advertise to people who are bound not to purchase your product. I suggest you first set up your targeting correctly and see if your product converts. If not then you can always make changes to your funnel to test and tweak to get the maximum ROI.

So I should change my FB targeting to regions that could afford the product I am promoting. Great stuff I will do some testing with this. But I definitely should lower the price to fit the masses needs?

e.g making 100 sales at $17 a month being the same as making 36 sales at $47 a month.

I was thinking to run a special promotion for the first 100 members at $17 and see if that converts better, what do you think?

      Thanks for the feedback

Before you blame your traffic and pricing, I think that you need
to tighten your copy. There are some grammar issues and the general tone
and language do not fit your subject. Your language is a little too formal for
this audience. For example, you wrote: (mistakes)

If you sit in a chair or drive a car for any period of time, you’ve more than likely experienced loss of mobility and flexibility in the joints and everything else south of your hips. Locked hips act like a “hand brake” negatively impacting your ability to perform your techniques fluidly and effectively, particularly footwork and kicking. Think about it, if your having difficulty performing these essential techniques in the class room, how will you ever have the ability and the confidence to use them in a real life self defence situation when the stress of a confrontation is already tightening up your mind and body?
    My suggested edits:
"you’ve more than likely experienced loss of mobility and flexibility in the joints and everything else south of your hips." = You freeze from your hips down.

"negatively impacting your ability to perform your techniques fluidly and effectively"
    = You can't be effective ....

The vocabulary is way too high for this type of market.

The headlines don't cut it. A lot of people skim the copy, looking for interesting headlines and ready the copy under it. For example anyone who didn't read above "If this scares you then you need to read on" has no clue what you're talking about. Be more specific.

Same with "It's all about training the technique over and over". Who wants to do something over and over, I want it to work right now! "You will see results the first time you try it!" And tell them how it will help them immediately, then go into the long-term benefits -- but don't make it look like a lot of work.

As for the price, I think it's more than reasonable.

Edit: I just realized you have a unique leverage point: Preventing Injury. Pound that home.
