I'm a big fan of seeing how others are doing and what methods they are using to source suppliers and what platforms everyone is on.

This is the best way to see what is actually working or not.

Post here with a screenshot of your sales from last month, your platform, and supplier source:

I'll go first.

Platform: Shopify

Source: Direct from Manufacture

Go!

P.S. feel free to ask me anything.

Is the total profit $21k or what is your share from that $21k sales? All the sales from organic rankings or do you use PPC?

    Anyways congratulations on your success.

johhnyfd posted his income report on another thread and stated profit on $17000 as just over $2000. That works out at about 12%, which is the same as chuff1026 has stated.

Strangely, in another thread, chuff1026says: "i currently dropship from amazon, walmart, kmart sears and wayfair. I do about 100k a month in sales with about 10k in profits."

That's 10% but in this one he says he makes 12%. See his post above: "i dropship on ebay
suppliers are walmart, amazon, kmart, academy
      profit margin is average 12%"

Whichever claim is right, those margins are extremely poor. As I posted on another thread:

"The profit margins can be huge. Here is an email I received recently from one of my book buyers:

"Ok. From extremely skeptical to successful completion. Credit given where credit is due. I followed the book instructions you laid out. Took my time to double check everything and was able to successfully import an order from China. Not only that but it was also a “sample order” for less than 300.00. A 300% mark up has allowed to get initial investment back and I have 70% of my inventory left. Stop promoting your book. Your encouraging competition for me Many thanks." Email on file for FTC inspection if required."

It seems that I have upset you by pointing out that you have posted different claims to profit margins in different posts. I guess that is why you say you don't care about margins.

    300% margins are great

i dont know wtf is wrong with you
    if you want to import
    more power to you
    i also import
just not on your level i am sure
i do some FBA stuff with my imports
but its still not the same bloody business
all you guys do is talk in circles to seem like you know wtf you are talking about and its annoying as hell

    i have two different accounts
i sell 70 things a day or so
the profit margin ranges from 10% to 12%
i just get pissed off when peopel do not stick to what is being talked about
and address the topic at hand
when people ask about dropshipping usually its for a reason
not to be hard sold on some bs

        Hi,

Do you mind share what products or industry you are in with drop shipping? Im currently doing the same in car pars industry and my supplier is direct from Japan, profit margin around 20%. Im wondering you get your supplier in Amazon, walmart, what is the margin? i think it should be less than 10%.

Sales don't mean much with a low margin. It seems like the key to success in dropshipping is to have lots of stores.
