Anybody have any good accounting software they recommend for e-commerce dealing with paypal and banking?I've googled this a bit and seen alot of good on godaddy's software but decided to see what other ecommercers recommend.

Not sure if they all do so but I'm mainly just looking for something to set aside my taxes so I know what I'm looking to pay every year.

Sorry it cut me off, the Clover has so many applications built into the software. It keeps track of all your inventory, employee hours, it's unlimited and I love it. If you need to know where to get it, send me an email. They have all different sizes and cater to the type of business you have.

I don't know if you can get it where you are, however I use Xero.com - and it is brilliant. My husband and I run a marketing business together and it is amazing and reconciles everything and invoices clients perfectly (and even follows up invoices if necessary). When I first started out I used Fresh Books, however my accountant hated it, however it did create a good system for me when I was starting out and made me a bit more accountable for what I was spending and my out goings and income.

I was actually considering xero before, can it separate how much sales tax is on sales I make/transactions? For instance if I sold something for $200 and had a sales tax of 7% attached does it keep up with all the sales tax and adds them up or do I have to do that manually?

My suggestion is better you can do with an accountant, if you feel pay more for a accountant. Then move onto accounting software, plenty of accounts software providers available. One of my friends owns a company, they using Apptivo accounting software to manage whole business accounts. I know little bit of information, try to reach out them. Get more information about this software.

I think I will be going with xero mainly because I see it can be used with taxjar(a sales tax software)so those two can knock out alot of work.I'm still in the process of settling things so this time around I can have everything started right instead of doing patch work later therefore I may be able to start up within this month.

I would recommend QuickBooks accounting software that has several version specific to your business needs. For example, QuickBooks Pro is a good option for small businesses and SMBs on the other hand QuickBooks Enterprise have large enterprise-specific features. QuickBooks includes features like banking, payroll, invoicing and several add-ons that integrate to meet the e-commerce store requirements.
