Hi,
I am in the process of creating an outdoor sporting goods online store.
My purpose is to create my own branded apparel and additionally I would like to add name brand products (coleman, trek, diamond back, northface, etc) on my website just to make it look more attractive. I have no intentions into selling the name brand products as they are just for looks. I am sourcing from ebay by copying listing photos and pasting them in my site with very high mark-ups. Is this legal or will I have to be an authorized retailer for those brands? Your advice is highly appreciated, Thank you much!

The actual brands or even the website(s) that you copied the descriptions from could sue you and initiate a DMCA take-down request with Google since you have stolen another site's copyrighted text and have not been authorized by the brand to use their copyrighted images.

Will that happen? Maybe, maybe not. Legally speaking, you do not have permission to use the text or the pictures (unless the images you are using have usage rights that are labeled as free to use).
