I wanted to know whether there are any security concerns regarding payment gateway while developing an e-commerce website through Wordpress or Weebly?

    There are usually major problems with PCI compliance whenever you use an opensource website builder. An SSL is the easy part. Forever chasing your tail after WordPress updates to get your site PCI compliant again is a hassle we couldn't put up with anymore, which is why we moved to hosted shopping carts like Shopify, BigCommerce and 3DCart.

    With Wordpress yes, but it can be fixed of course.


    as Dave said, it's more easier to integrate these with ready hosted solutions as Shopify, you just add your details and they take care of everything without you even noticing.


    I wouldn't recommend avoiding Wordpress though (IMHO) it's the most complete platform online if we're including all the aspects that makes a site a good one.
