Google launches new video review and shopping platform
Google just launched a new product showcase platform, Shoploop, with the aim of tapping into the rising popularity of short-form video.
Shoploop enables people to share their product experiences via short video clips. Per Google:
The thing about Shoploop is that it isn't really an app per se (it doesn't have a downloadable app), but more of a web app that's available only on mobile devices by going to shoploop.app.
Shoploop is Google's effort in ramping up ecommerce development in response to the coronavirus pandemic where there's a sudden surge in online shopping engagement.
