I have a couple of Etsy shops and have not had any
issues but I have seen similar complaints as yours
    on YouTube and other forums.

Not informing users for the reason they are banned
makes no sense. How can users correct their error
or violation if they don't know what it is.

Now that they have millions of users, Etsy does not
seem too concerned about their users and that is
typical of large corporations. They get hundreds of
new signups a day so they don't care about banned
    account holders.

Besides that, Etsy is over saturated, and there are
so many other marketplaces, I would advise clients
to consider moving their sales operations to a
    different platform.

Etsy is over saturated with Chinese goods IMO. I used to order from Etsy several times a year - mainly gifts. But this year all but one of the items I ordered were sent from China...but Etsy didn't disclose that before I purchased. I've never sold there but two marketers I know have moved to other sites because imports have taken over in some categories.

Etsy was designed to be for crafts and handmade and vintage items but its popularity may be its downfall.

I don't like to buy baby or pet items that are not USA made under US safety laws. On Amazon it's pretty easy to weed out imports because the English descriptions give it away...Etsy is close to deceptive on imports as the 'approximate ship time' on 3 items DOUBLED after I purchased. Imports.

Please do not 'release balloons' for celebrations. The balloons and trailing ribbons entangle birds and kill wildlife and livestock that think the balloons are food.

I had no idea all of that was going on as I never
      check physical products there.

I sell digital items and whenever I scope competitors
      it's artwork, printables and such.

Etsy really is going downhill fast if they are allowing
sellers to dropship from China, but that might just
be what they are cracking down on.

Wow, dealing with Etsy sounds like a real headache. Reminds me of a challenge I faced in niche marketplace development. Sometimes, platforms have their quirks, but outright bans without explanation? That's rough. Clear communication is key to fostering trust between platforms and users. Hopefully, Etsy improves their support system soon, so you can focus on what you do best--serving your customers.

Etsy is too saturated, and they will issue bans left and right. I've had about 7 Etsy shops. A lot of the sellers use POD services, or dropship stuff.

Etsy is a good marketplace if you can stay there without getting banned. I used to report my competition, but in the long run got kicked out as well. I used to make several accounts under one persons ID, and structure the account information in a way they can't track it, so each account banned didn't mean the rest of them would be banned.
