I'd suggest looking at SendPepper, they seem to concentrate more on HTML functionality vs web forms. And I think you are correct in terms of the movement to incorporating in web forms.

The only real alternative to Aweber & Getresponse is to have your own server, and run your own autoresponder software.

1. It's pretty eas toy handle. design is clean and simple.

Though sendy lacks the easy drag and drop html email builder like mailchimp etc use. If you don't know HTML you can either buy html templates from themeforest or similar or use plain text.

2. only feature I am currently missing is: if subscriber signs up to list B automatically unsubscribe from list A. You cannot do that with sendy. Autoresponders, custom fields, hello\goodbye\thank you mails can be set. create campaigns, use multiple brands, single\double optin option, all included. Overall management is simple.

3. deliverability is great if you set up your domain auth keys with amazon. If your domain is authenticated mails are delivered instantly. If your IP is not on a blacklist you won't end up in a spam folder.

4. I didn't experience any spam complaints but this depends on amazon SES as far as I know so if your complaint rate is above ??% amazon will contact you. But I'm not sure exactly about this one here. sorry.

5. I no fan of external thirdparty services. I like to have the scripts running on my own servers. Biggest advantage is the price - as I said 10.000 mails are only $1. mailchimp charges $200 for 10.000 mails.
I can easily control all urls, mails, contacts and get massive stats about open rates, country, unsubscribe rates etc.

I have no idea about DKIM auth keys and all this amazon API stuff but the how-to guides sendy provides guide you through every step with screenshots so if you follow it carefully it`s setup within 10-15 mins.

I prefer to use self hosted autoreponsder. They are more flexibility, more control and much cheaper if you have large list.

I'm beginning to think that going with any hosted solution like Aweber, GetResponse, etc. will always be less flexible than a self hosting.

Above, someone recommended Sendy (self-hosted autoresponder script), which integrates into Amazon SES/SNS. I bought a copy and so far, I'm liking the flexibility it gives me.

My only reservation is that it seems to be a one man shop and the developer doesn't seem to take feedback from his customers very well.

ConstantContact, but I'm not sure about the HTML function.

You might also want to check out EmailJeet...

It's a software where you can send out emails as well as back them up.

If you're using WordPress you could check out something like MyMail as well. Its been around for a few years and has several thousand sold. It also integrates with Amazon SES, Gravity Forms, SendGrid, Mandrill and lots of other third party plugins.

I've never used MailChimp, but I've heard that they don't like internet marketing user. They will close your account if they know you are doing internet marketing.

Yep... if you want to do affiliate marketing, they will close you down.

Not 'Internet Marketing' - as long as it's your own product, they don't mind. A simple search on Mailchimp in this forum will bring up plenty of horror stories...

Now, I don't know how much of this is true or has changed over the years. I think Mailchimp starting massively banning users around 2010-2011 time frame. They may have loosened up.

But if I'm going to switch autoresponders, the last thing I want to do is switch to an ESP that has a history of banning accounts. It's just too risky.

Simply , I am looking alternative to aweber or get response ( as not able to pay monthly fee..ok with one time fee) ...My question is : Whether rapid mailer is proving all type of services like Aweber .

whether Rapid mailer is good tool to collect emails from squeeze or optin page means we can set squeeze page where people can put their email & Rapid mailer collect such leads or Rapid mailer is email sender software..Confused ???????????

and if Rapid mailer is not right alternative to Aweber or Get response then pls guide which product to use for collecting & broadcasting of emails i.e. proper list building solutions...Pls tell only one time fee products. Can't afford monthly payment products
