Paying Someone to Write Your Emails is just Stupid !!

Why would you want to do that when you already have the most important asset
... YOU !!

I just constantly see this mistake by many online marketers, not just newbies.

There is NO set formula or template that you can copy that is going to make you SUCCESSFUL at Email Marketing.

Forget it folks.

You aint going to find it.

I have been there and done that.

I have found it best to stand out and be different
...be unpredictable in the relationship with your List.

Some days I can be really congenial and helpful but other days when the mood strikes me I can be cynical and sarcastic....some on my List would say a smarta$$ lol

When you are unpredictable, it can really build anticipation and curiosity in your Subs.

The best thing about this is that it creates the much sought after asset:
ATTENTION.

The importance of that can never been underestimated ! (Especially if it is the kind of ATTENTION that is backed by Trust and Respect !)

Just something to think about.

Yeah you are right you have to write your own emails to build good relationship with your list and to keep them opening your emails
    Thanks for the post

Hey Robert, nice post. I agree. The most responsive lists are usually the ones where trust and loyalty has been developed over time through value based emails. Be yourself and don't be afraid to let your subscribers get to know you. They can't do that with someone else writing your emails.

I agree with you regarding the relationship aspect. Writing your own emails is best, but what if someone simply does not have enough time. What if they're already handling too much, and writing their emails won't be a profitable option for them.

We can always find someone reliable right, and just select one permanent person. A person who builds our relationship for us. If we pay him well, and give him flexibility. Good results are possible right?

      Markeeter,
I understand where you are coming from.

      I have been their myself.

But to be honest this is a hugely important part of your business.

I would just encourage you or anyone NOT to do this. Really

This is , to me at least, something that there is really no way around.

Let me ask you this ...
If you were wanting to approach a hot girl that you liked or hot guy would you want to hire another person to approach her/him because you didnt have the time ??

You really know how to make a good point. I guess you're right. In the end it all comes down to priorities, if its that important to do my emails myself then I think I will find the time to do it one way or the other.

        Thanks!

Writing your own emails doesn't only give the recipient a more personalized approach but also, you get to understand how your recipient will see you as the sender.

The best way to write an email content is to hire a professional copy writer who has well know how about the product you are promoting.

Copy writers are expert in converting sales and i think it's not a bad idea to throw some money on a copywriter.

Why not if the copywriter delivers the results?

I will read though the email and make some change into "my style" and then send it out.

Some things money just can't buy. This may be one of them.

What if the Copywriter dies ?
So just hire another one who has no grasp of the 'email persona ' of the first one who died ?

Last time I heard hubspot was doing just fine and I don't see the owner writing emails himself. It all depends on how you build your brand. If you build it around yourself then yeah, outsourcing is not an option, if you build it around common values that you and your customer have, then you can and should get someone to write it for you.

I disagree with your perspective not because I'm selling this service, but because I know first hand that some people have no idea about how to write emails. And it's not something they can learn easily: if you can't write, you can't write. You can try, and in time, you'll get better to some extent (just like with everything), but someone with experience and an inclination for writing is much better suited. And some people don't have time or patience to wait until their writing skills are on par with their standards, so hiring a writer is a short-cut.

Bottom line: I believe you're thinking that everyone can write but are lazy, which is wrong. Actually, most people can't write well, just like most people can't paint, sing or dance well.

However, for those who can write, I strongly recommend they learn how to write great emails because this way they can control the content and tone much better. Plus, they save some money.

The best of both worlds would be if you could hire a professional copywriter that knows you and your personality (like if you were the president) and have them write your emails. Isn't going to happen . . .

How bout this, you hire a copywriter to write your email sequence and then you take them and personalize them? Nah

How about you start out writing your own emails with the help of a guide. One like Mark Tandan has. He is a professional email marketer that runs the email campaigns for an internet marketer.

Really, most people can't afford to hire a professional copywriter. But they need a list. And they need the list to be responsive. So, they should buy an email writing course and get started. Practice makes perfect.

Solid advice. It's the difference between being just another marketer and a friend who entertains and gives helpful advice.

It's really powerful if you can make your list feel like they actually know you.

This premise would throw out the whole ghostwriting industry in one
    sweep.

Presidents don't normally write their own speech, most celebrities don't
write their own books .. and the list goes on.

A lot of big marketers hire copywriters to write "their" emails
as well. The trick is that if the copywriter studies the writing
style of the client that they can easily pose as him. it's what I
do for clients all the time. If I write you a sales letter then I
must read what you normally write so I can "sound like you"
in my writing rather than a professional writer. It's all a part
    of understanding your market.

I think they can really hear YOU and your voice when you're writing them.

The idea of having your own business is to have at some point a financial freedom, and to be able not work at some point and hire others to work for you.

Otherwise it is not a business, but rather just self-employment.

At least in my personal opinion.

Hiring somebody (if you're in position of doing so) who can continue to do a good job instead of you is always a good thing.

Yes. But putting in some work at the beginning and doing it yourself can pay off dividends.

And remember, once you write a certain amount of email Follow Ups ( at least for me) you can then recycle.

So after awhile it can become Passive income and financial freedom even if you do it yourself

To be perfectly honest, I was a crappy writer... Staring at a blank screen really freaked me out and I could barely write a single word.
The best thing I found was to find someone to teach me how to write. That way I could write the emails with my personal touch and still be able to convert sales.

I have to disagree with the OP here.
I have a full time copyrighter who specializing in marketing writing.
She can increase my open click and conversions rates by up to 20% at times.
Writing your own stuff is not the key here, having a good writer who understands marketing is the key asset you need.

To me, if I know someone can do it better I am going to pay them to write the emails for me if that equals more sales. Sure, I would not be learning how to write emails but that takes time. I would rather leave it to someone more experienced.

I write my own emails, but see absolutely nothing wrong with hiring a
professional copywriter to write them for you. There are a ton of reasons
that you might want to do that including poor language skills, not understanding
copywriting or salesmanship, not enough time, or just that you hate writing.

It is good to bond with your audience on a more personal level, but at
times, getting someone else to write your emails for you might produce
    MUCH better results!

Totally agree! If you're lazy enough not to even write a 10 minute email then you might as well quit in the first place! IM is like any serious business and unless you're also serious about it, you'll never make a dime.
