Convert users to subscribers

Hello,
I own free dating site with 50k users.
I want to make them subscribers on my dating advice blog.
Aweber support told me that it is not allowed to send one letter and ask my users if they want to be my subscribers.

Will be great if you give me advice how to convert 50k users to at least 1k subscribers

    If the users are regularly visiting your website when the user first loads the page ask them to enter their email address for your regular newsletters. Plus, this will also instantly ask any new visitors to your page so you can quickly rack up subscribers.

    I would also like to recommend adding on email verification in real time as well because you dont want to take in a lot of bogus email accounts which are common in the dating industry for people to enter fake contact data.

      Add a subscriber button on your home page. Ask users to fill the subscriber form who regularly visiting your website. As well as, ask directly any new visitors to your page so you can quickly notch up your subscribers.

        I am absolutely agree with you, I did it already!

        But 50k profiles on my dating site it is about 2 millions visitors on my site during last 3 years. Unfortunately 90% of them don't use my site any more.

        So, the question is "How to convert old users to new subscribers?"

        I can send letter to them, but I am sure it will go to spam box, I need service like Aweber.

          There are many services besides Aweber that will allow this and you can feed them into Aweber or other services. Try Mailgun, Sendgrid or Mandrill.

          If the users signed up for your site you are allowed to send them transactional emails. Just make sure they are fully compliant (contact information, unsubscribe link etc.) and sent via a reputable sender like I mentioned above and they will inbox just fine.

    Agree with all the above. Throw a sign up form on your website. Have one "pop up" as soon as they get onto your website. You could also have a sign up form come in from the side as they scroll down your page or just a static form in the top right with a giveaway such as a free report, etc.

    Trial getresponse for 30 days or AWeber for $1. See which one you like the most.
