Has anyone tested/thought about marketing with Google+ and the "share" function? In other words using Google+ as a list builder, list and messaging tool. Crazy thought, but what could be the advantages?

Yeah definitely. I use it to drive traffic and build my list.

But it's in combination with sharing great content.

The cream of the crop is Google+ communities. Select a few to focus on, share other people's articles every once in a while, and don't be ashamed to share your own.

You can attract a lot of high quality traffic with minimal amount of work.

For a further explanation, I would check out this article by Robbie Richards: How I Grew My Email List from Zero to 1,634 Subscribers in 5 Months.

    That information is gold.

"Shared content" can be any message, which is nice. So Google+ can be message broadcasting that never goes in the spam box. Google+ lets you keep lists of people, and seperate which messages goes to which people. So one can use Google+ like a message service. People who like the message can easily share with their lists. It's easy to build lists on Google+, its sort of the whole idea of the project, so I was thinking: what if I ask my prospects (on a squeeze page) to Google plus the sales message?

Also noted that google search places really high importance on Google+ messages. So there must be something important here about ranking higher, too.

Anyway, great link there for the R. Richards article. Thanks!
