Build a relationship with your List

What I highly suggest you to do and I've been doing for some time and got some decent results is to mix up your promotional emails with purely content emails, so you will always keep them eager to open up your emails and read through the end.

The problem with flooding their inbox with promotional emails is that not only the open rate and click through rate will decrease drastically, but also you will get a lot of unsubscription whenever you send a new email.

Encourage them, share whats working for you, tell them about you, ask them to reply to your emails. Connect with them by giving them your email, skype or facebook page. Tell stories to sell your products, services or affiliate programs.

Be approachable and build rapport with your subscribers..Do this and they will remain customers for life.

Have you contacted them at all in these 3 weeks? Because if you didn't, the list will get colder and colder. In short, you need to constantly keep in contact with them, i.e. send them emails. Don't forget that people are usually on other marketer's lists, too, so you're fighting for their attention against a few more seasoned marketers.

As for building a relationship, think about how people do it in the real world: they offer advice a few times before they ask for something in return. The same is true with email marketing: you should give them free advice that they like and need, but only ask for a sale once in a while. If all you do is pitch them, they'll get turned off and stop opening your emails.

I'd also be very open about the fact that I'm making money from the list. People are not dumb and they know you're after money, so you might just as well point to the big elephant in the room. They love honesty, and trust me, it will help you sell more.

I've sent you a PM with regards to free videos that you'll find very useful. I think at the end of the day, it's about finding the right people who can resonate with you.

Don't focus too much on changing yourself, but I think improving your copywriting would help. Also... don't just rely on the list at hand. If you have notifications switched on when people sign up, then check those emails to see whether they are on Facebook. That's going to help improve your engagement and conversions as they'll be able to put a face to your name and help build some more trust.

Surveys, ask them what they want and then give it to them.

a) Be regular and consistent in getting connection with them via email sending.
b) Provide something useful in a friendly tone like a friend chatting and sharing.
c) Use casual words, yet polite and kind, with every email.
d) Share your subscribers your personal story from time to time.
e) Be thankful to your subscribers prior to writing. Such feeling would translate into the writing tone.
f) Treat them in the same way you would like to be treated. The content given should reflect this.
g) Encourage them to grow their business by giving the good tips.
h) Be aggressive in increasing your lists yet selective in giving the appropriate content to be best suit.

You sound like you are on the right track.

You can do a one on ,one off approach. I do this in a few of my Niches.

One day pure content.
The next day a promo with still good content.

Mix it up and keep consistent. If you commit to 3 days a week, keep doing 3 days a week

If it is everyday keep that up.

What do you mean when you say they bought something from you? You mean they purchased your product and then joined your email list? Or did they join your email list FIRST, then buy the product? Also, I couldn't tell from the message, but make sure that you're emailing your list frequently (the number is different for everyone). 3 weeks is too long though...
