Budget $3k - $5k - How would YOU (in the shortest time) build up a responsive & profitable list? :)

Hi Warriors,

Out of curiosity...

If you're given / have a budget of $3k - $5k, how would you in the shortest time possible build up a responsive & profitable list (for specificity's sake, say in the IM/MMO niche)?

Let's hear your ideas...

P.S. For everyone's benefit, pls state specific numbers in your plan / ideas to translate it into a real, feasible plan and not something "pie in the sky".

The most important thing is that you're able to communicate with your customers effectively, and reach their hot buttons.

First thing I would do is learn good marketing content creation and copywriting. Because no matter how many options you get, based on the numbers, ultimately your success is going to come down to how targeted and how high-quality your content is, and how relevant it is to your customer.

For example, you could get an 80% opt in rate, And still see next to no results, whereas someone else could get an 8% opt in rate, and see far superior results, because they're content really connects with that 8% of customers, and yours would be a complete disconnect.

The best advice I can give is learn how to create content.

Are you an amazing copywriter? If so, you can spend that money on advertising. If you have weak copywriting skills, then I'd suggest using some of that money to hire an expert to write up a funnel for you (landing page and email sequence). There are copywriters on this forum in the warriors for hire section.

Facebook ads are probably your best bet for advertising.

First, find your interests in Facebook. You might want to try a FB video ad. You can't use Youtube vids, you must upload a vid. Find a video somewhere that gives good tips about internet marketing. And make sure it's 2-3 minutes and not longer. Create your ad with it and promote it to your interests.

Views on FB video ads only cost around $.03 per view. But if your ad gets lots of likes and shares that will go down a lot.

Here's the part that you might not know. FB automatically creates a custom audience pixel for people who view your video 90% or more through. Those people are VERY interested in IM/MMO. You just found them for super cheap.

Now set up another ad (website clicks) and send the traffic to your landing page using the above custom audience. Your conversion rate should be very high.

With your available budget you should be able to build up a big list of very interested people.

I am assuming that you simply looking to push your products or event or whatever to the email subscribers and drive some money to your bank. Ideally there would be a few prerequisites that you should consider before you plan the entire thing.
    1. No matter how good an email list you have, if your product sucks then you are not going to make much out of it.
    2. No matter how good a product you have, if your emails are shabby or don't excite users to click - you are not going to make much money out of your list either.
    3. No matter how good your email copy is, if your product or event landing page is not exciting, then you will simply be looking at rising bounce rates!
    4. No matter how good your product or event is, If you do not have a proper after sales strategy, then you will be looking at maximum chargebacks - which is again a no brainer! (Unless you state a strictly no refunds policy).
Now, let's just take a hypothetical situation and say that you have the prerequisites:
    1. An Awesome Product / Event / Service
    2. A Perfect Auto responder Series For Your Subscribers
    3. Inspiring Landing Page
    4. Killer After Sales Upsell or After Sales Service Strategy
You have everything lined up? - YOU THE MAN!

Now let's come to the point of this discussion - You want to make a highly responsive email list and you are talking about $3-$5K here.

Considering the fact that it is quite a big amount to invest on making email lists, let's go ahead since the entire thing is Hypothetical - At least at the moment. And the time frame we have is only 30 Days.
    1. If you already have some email subscribers in pocket in the IM Niche, it would be a great idea to make great email content for them, and encourage them to share it with their friends or network.
    2. Promote an Online Contest With a Giveaway Worth Atleast $500 and It Could go upto $2000. It's all about the money. Make sure the thing that you are giving away is valuable, yet it is only valuable for the model persona that you want to tap through emails.
Remember - The bigger the cheese the more mice it's going to attract. You must test with smaller investments first and scale the one that gets you the most subscribers.
    3. Segregate your email subscribers into different segments, and re-market your autoresponders to increase conversions.
    4. Be active on relevant forums, Hire Virtual Assistants 2-4 on A Freelance Basis and Ask them to Be more active on Internet Marketing Forums (Don't spread filth, give meaningful replies or share good content), like the one you are already on and Put a Link To your Lead Generation Page with an Attractive One Liner on their Forum Signatures. (This will give your offer more exposure in less time).
If you are doing this right, and you have got everything I told you. You are going to be looking at a highly responsive email list in a month or two. But everything boils down to how you break down your investments into various things like the following:
    1. Invest in Good Copywriter
    2. Invest in Good Squeeze Page and Landing Page Designer
    3. Invest in Quality VA's (Or save money by having your employees do it)
    4. Find and invest in the Right Cheese (Product that will get the opt-ins)
    5. Do you're A/B testing Properly
    6. Keep Refining Your Email Lists Till You are Left with Only The Number of People who take time to read your emails and follow your links.
I hope this helped. Sorry if it was elaborate.

    Hi,

    1. Outsource the product creation from graphics to the product and the upsells as well.
    2. Set your AR follow up sequence
    3. Launch the offer on either warrior plus or Jvzoo
    4. Spend the remaining on targeted traffic to this offers + create an affiliate contest

    Best regards,

Many have pointed out copy writing and having a great product.

The thing I would point out is testing.

You must test every aspect of every campaign.

That's how you take a 100% ROI and turn it into a 700% ROI. I say those numbers because I just did that.

Become a great copywriter, a testing freak and fearless. That's a pretty good combination. Most people don't do because they are afraid of success, failure or just getting started.

See now $3-$5k is a real budget.

With that kind of budget I would go with Media Buys. That will give you the most return on that budget.

I can sell you targeted emails that are worth a lot more than 5 000$.
I have worldwide , country , business , companies , and so on.

You can take an email sender and send about 100 k emails per day ( not in spam ).
This will turn your business in easy cash

I would set up a funnel that includes a thank-you page with "bonus links". I would then sell a bunch of funnel clicks, and add the money you make from the funnel click sales toward your initial investment.

Buy at least 2x as many solo ad clicks as you sold with funnel clicks to fulfill the orders. Use your new list to start to sell solo ad clicks.

    Rinse and repeat

Have done this myself and watched some of my students do this, with the extra money you bring in from selling the funnel clicks you can build your list very quickly as you get paid up-front to essentially add subscribers to your list.

Of course this is solo ad specific, there's other routes that you can take.

With the 3-5k budget I'd spend 1k solo ads , banner ads, and other forms of media and party with the rest!

I'm playing lol! Really though I'd invest it into paid advertising and see how well it converts prior to dumping it all in.
