What open rate should I be aiming for?

I understand every industry is different, but do you have a tool for truly finding out if your open rate is on point.

When I use Mail Chimp for clients it does show the industry average however I'm not always convinced this information is true and where does it come from anyway? Just MailChimp?

I'd like to hear where you develop your rate and if there is a way to gauge this compared to genuine industry information.

Many of my clients are in the child care industry and I'd honestly love to find out for my reporting and also myself what the rates really are.

I use GetResponse for my autoresponder and my understanding is that around 21 - 25% is very good and with a click through rate of 4 - 5% is about average. You can do a lot of research but this is what I have seen generally.
    Hope this helps,

Great - that is about what i had expected - I have done some research and I wondered how much data Mail Chimp uses.

      I appreciate your comment.

    Hi AussieCoz,

my open rate is between 35 to 60% for broadcast mails and 60 to 75% for autoresponder mails. I normally head for a clickrate > 10%

I work with ConvertKit and my targetgroup are germans.

Hope this gives you a good idea about realistic rates.

Though this may be achievable with a super target and active list.. it definitely does not give anyone the right idea for "realistic rates"

You should share something more helpful to WF like what niche and why ur rates are above benchmark.
