List Segmentation Via Automated Emails ?

Hello Im new to internet marketing and so Im struggling with certain aspects of segmentation. I wanted to be able to categorize my subscribers within the email automation itself. My idea is to allow people to segment themselves by giving them a list of options within the email.

Ex. Email is about Sports

Choose which sport are you interested in the most ?

1) Hockey
2) Baseball
3) Football
4) Basketball

If a subscriber chooses baseball, he/she will automatically be placed underneath the baseball category of my list. How do I go about doing that and what email marketing platforms would be best for that feature ?

    Create unique tagged links for each sport. And if your subscriber clicks on any link then apply the specific tag. This will allow you to segment your audience later.
