Bots.

You can put up a fresh Wordpress site - and doing nothing else at all - no linking to it, no references to it, nothing... after a few days or weeks, the bots will arrive.

I've seen it over and over again.

There are things you can do, such as setting up your Wordpress site in a NON-standard way - so that bots have no idea how to log in to your site.

I've seen numerous Wordpress plugins that can help you on this issue as well.

I noticed an inordinate number of bot registrations coming from Russia and Poland.

Since I couldn't care less about getting customers from either of those countries, I banned any email address ending in .ru or .pl from even being able to register.

Now, instead of 15-20/week, I get maybe 1-2 bot registrations per month. Very manageable.

Yeah I have got 300 of them and they keep signing up daily.. I have been searching for a solution to it, but it seems none of the plug-ins have done anything to stop it.

I just continue to go through and continue manually deleting them. Jack seems to have a great idea that I will try next
