Google Wealth Maker - Regular hype?

Hey everyone!
I just got a promo email today, promoting a product called " Google Wealth Maker".

Here is the link: Eric Rockefeller Presents - Google Wealth Maker

I just wanted to know if anyone has tried this out yet, and if it's just the regular hype.

Personally I don't believe in automatic systems, or automatic moneymaking software either, so it would be great to hear from anyone who has purchased it.

Thank you,
- Preben

I'm trying this system because many of my customers started asking me about it.

It's a monthly fee based automated Twitter poster.

You can try it for about 5.00 bucks for 15 days and decide for yourself. You create multiple twitter accounts and the system will take your text file or spread sheet with comments and drip them to your twitter account based on your settings.

It also goes out and finds followers for you automatically based on keywords. There is also a feature that pulls content from Google News and posts to your twitter accounts along with links you specify.

In my testing it works as advertised. It comes with a comprehensive ebook/manual describing many social networking marketing techniques.

This is an observation not a complaint: Be prepared for a lot of up-selling. Some people may be irritated when they find out you have to pay for additional "advanced" videos. The system is simple enough to use without the advanced videos but of course you may have a nagging feeling you are missing out on important information.

Also some will say this product goes against the spirit of social networking as it involves automated posting to many twitter accounts that you will never need to visit. Use your own judgement.

    Okay.
So it works, but it's gray/black hat.
I'm not a fan of upsells, but I think I'll manage to resist "advanced videos".
    Anyways, thanks for your reply!
I was really curious about this, so thanks again. Other reviews are also well appreciated.

    • I tried the $5 trial, and I think the only worthwhile thing provided is an 86 page pdf "special report" showing some interesting web20 techniques, but not necessarily focused on the GoogleWealthMaker software.

      Main feature #1:
The software auto-posts to your twitter accounts from google news or a text file, adding your affiliate links at the end of the post. Supposedly, this will get you first page rankings on google. As others mentioned, the google news posts aren't very related to your keywords. So I don't see much use in that. Even if you do come up high in the search results, why would someone click on a result unrelated to their search keyword? So I guess you're stuck with creating some sort of text file with a bunch of keyword dense entries for the software to auto post. Sounds like a lot of work for questionable results. Maybe I can buy collections of keyword-rich comments for auto-posting? That might work.

      Main feature #2:
The software automatically sends "friend requests" (following) to other twitter users in order to build a list on twitter. Supposedly, these users (and their network) might follow you back and you can market to them. The problem I see is that WHY would other users choose to follow you (be your friend) if your twitter accounts are just a bunch of spam entries? Seems to me they'll just ignore you.

The general premise seems sound, though. When someone designs a similar software that will auto-post keyword-rich posts to several microblogging platforms (like Twitter) and add my affiliate link to them, I'll buy it!

    Trial Test Update:

I tried the trial version of this product. I used it very gently to test. Today all of my twitter accounts created in Google Wealth Maker were shut down at Twitter. I even setup an account with no auto posting and just allowed it to seek a couple followers a day and it was canceled. This is just my experience but I'm betting more will be heard about canceled accounts using this software.

Unfortunately this is a thumbs down trial review for for my hosting customers.

Same thing happen at all three of my twitter accounts. Suspended, My two cents is Twitter sees it as spam because of the posts not related enough.

Have to agree with Stevorino. I bought the product, and yes, they didn't have the member's area done when I first tried to log in (not a good sign). But, it's based on using Twitter to get followers, links, and eventually, traffic to your money pages or opt-ins. The PDF is actually decent, as it has a lot of good social marketing ideas.
But, the software didn't work for me. I set up 5 different Twitter accounts in different niches, with the plan of using the software to send them to CB affiliate links. I customized each page and profile to make it look as much as possible like a real person posting (yes, this is a little grey-hat!). You can set up the software to either post news items or your own short tweets (as they call them in Twitter). I set up two of my 5 accounts with tweets that I wrote, figuring that would look as real as possible and maximize the chances of getting followers.
Well, after less than 5 days, all 5 accounts were suspended by Twitter. Big surprise, huh? After the first got shut down, I sent an inquiry to support. They told me just to delete the account, create a new one in Twitter, and edit the project in their software. Okaaayy.

After the last 4 got suspended. I cancelled immediately.
It does make you wonder how they achieved the results claimed in the sales letter. I'd save your money on this one.

Thank you all for replies folks.
I think we all have confirmed that this isn't a product you should add to your promotion arsenal at all.
At least I am 100% sure I won't buy it now.

One of the biggest piles of crap I ever fell for.
Does this clown think anyone would follow him in another program EVER??...after sucking about $145 dollars out of them for the dubious videos??
Like many of you, all of my Twitter accounts were suspended for some reason....and that was from following his stupid (and vague) videos.
Not to mention one upsell/cross-sell after another from him for someone else's "guru program".
I stay on his mailing list...just so I can avoid any programs which he JV's for.
Just his name on anyone else's offer is the "kiss of death" with me.

My twitter accounts got shut down as well. I think he should have included how to create different IP address. If he did, I must have missed it.

Almost all my campaigns using Google Wealth Wizard got suspended... the posts were not too targeted despite making sure the search terms or keywords were spot on.

      ditto here

Twitter accounts were trashed. And what was worse I had to make repeated pleas for a refund.

Half the stuff the promised in the sales letter were never even delivered.

Wish they would have just called it "Spam Twitter". Would have fit better.

Thanks for all the info. I too purchased GWM. After waiting a couple of weeks I was ready to read the info and get started. I signed in and found out that I no longer had access to the training videos. So I opened a support ticket. At the same time Paypal sent me an email saying that GWM's account had been suspended. It took them 17 days to say that the problem had been resolved with Paypal and that I could use the software. In order to do this I had to actually sign back up. So I went to their sales page that said I could get the trial for $4.97, then $77 after that, which is what I originally signed up for. But when I clicked on the order button it took me to a Paypal page that said I would be charged the $97 price. I asked for a credit for the time that the system was down, and I asked for the original $77 price. I still have not heard back from them, and that was 13 days ago. Based on what I've read above, I think I will just drop it at this point.

When Google Wealth Maker was released a couple of months ago I received many promotion Emails about this. After reading the sales page I got the impression that GWM is over-hyped. Reading through this thread says it all.

In the meantime I've unsubscribed from many Gurus mailing lists as such recommendations are unacceptable. They promote any old product without taking the time to find out what it is like.

I purchased the system back in October to give it a go. Every twitter account I created ended up getting suspended...

I tried working around the problem, changing how many to follow each day, how many post to post, but I wasn't having any luck, they would suspend every account I created.

I respect Eric a great deal, he's been a real stand up guy online, so the problem may have been resolved by now...I refunded and moved on.

I'm not saying it isn't worth a go. The concept he had is stellar, and if they could get around the technical trouble, it would be a valuable weapon.
