omgmachines.com Any opinion on this one?

I bought this, but have only watched the first 2 videos so far. It's a "vEbook" that is 44 pages long, and has 15 videos. I bought it from BTF's recommendation. Have you bought Bring the Fresh? If so they have a thread about this course in the forum. Apparently he makes $100,000 per month doing this. What he does is build local sites (like Delaware Divorce Lawyers | Get The Help You Need and then sells them or rents them out to clients).
And the videos are of him going through the process of building one of these sites.

I'm not sure how much is involved or how much time it will require because I have only watched the first two videos, but in the second video he shows two services that he uses - uniquearticlewizard.com which is $67/month and ahrefs.com which is $79/month, so you will need to invest some money.

He also has a coaching course called "No Holds Barred" which is extremely expensive (for me anyways) at $2,300 or something like that. From what I understand OMG is just 15 videos from his coaching program. The text in the ebook is just some general advice and then the last few pages are about how he sets up wordpress and spins articles.

I will try to do a better review when I have gone through all 15 videos.

Its actually pretty Kick A@@ - I'm half way through it and if I had applied these techniques with my sites I have not I would be making a couple million a year and not just a half million :-) Seriously I thought UAW was over with the Google updates but I guess not - one thing these guys have is they have KILLER CONTENT, I mean as I began to look at the pick up artist site I was glued to the content not because I'm interested in picking up chicks but because the content was engaging and almost like a reality show. - I give this product a 5 freakin stars and I buy a lot of WSO's - most of which are worthless.

Its a great ebook course I am already seeing improved rankings on my domains using his strategies. Yea the tools he recommends are not cheap but if you are newbie your going to waste your money trying other stuff anyways, this is step by step from onpage content to off page backlinks. I too found it through the Bring the Fresh forums after watching Greg over the year and his progress. When he came out with the course I had to get it, I am also planning on doing his no holds barred coaching. Just my 2 cents.

This is a very good course. One of the best SEO courses, if not the best, I've found. And I've been through many. SEO involves a lot more than what's found in the course, but his methods work. Not highly unique or groundbreaking, but it works. And it's very detailed for someone who wants something detailed.

His support is also good.

This is more expensive than your typical WSO of $10 or so, but it beats almost all WSOs out there below the cost of his product.

I enjoyed the OMGMachines book. It's pretty good and stuff from Mike Long has been good and it helped me in my online business. In fact, the OMGMachines sales page is cartoonish and interesting, I guess it appeals to me and it's different from the mundane old. Great content overall and indeed there are some tools that require payment but he's recommending them upfront as helpful tools that can boost rankings.

Looks like the omgmachines material costs $179.00
does that sound right? Expensive but could be worth it if it is as good as they say.

What we did was combined everything in one, for a $179 price. So those that already got it, got it cheaper.

Merden, EMD's, EMD with dashes, and EMDs with stop words and letters work perfectly fine.

Keep in mind these were example sites for ranking purposes, and very little effort were put into them...I just wanted to show plenty of examples that this works, very well.

As of now there's only 1 example site that's not ranking. When the EMD update came along 4 of the example sites disappeared. I compared my data with my other sites (I have about 700-800 sites) and found what the EMD update was about (see below). 3 of the 4 that dropped are not only back at the top, but back stronger than before.

And I just made some changes on the final example site that's not ranking, so I'll keep an eye on that one to come back as well.

We also have affiliate site examples (it's not just about local sites). Including an example of a million dollar affiliate site...

As far as the EMD update, as you can see EMDs still work great...you just can't over optimize them. The update specifically targeted sites that are EMDs and over optimized. Whether it's too high KW density for your keyword, KW too much in titles and image alt tags, or the too much anchor text for your backlinks...

I bought OMG Machines and I like it a lot.

I've had other things to do over the last month so I'm nowhere near finished the course, but I enjoy the presentations of both Greg and Mike. Unless I've lost my ability to judge character, I'd say these gentlemen are both very much on the level and are interested in helping marketers - along with making money, of course - but that's what we're all here for, after all.

OK, sounds great Greg. I am looking at a couple of course at the moment to try and get on top of this ranking with Google problem so many of us are having. I've had page one and number one rankings only to loose them with recent Google updates (and read into that a loss of income) and have been unsure in what direction to go from here. I'll take another look at OMG over the weekend and the other options that have come across my path the last few days.... definitely feeling more encouraged though to keep on keeping on after reading your material and learning about your successes. I enjoyed the OMG Machines course, and thought it was excellent but would rather have seen Greg building an affiliate site and his niche research, instead of the local sites. The local sites are far from being million dollar sites but I guess the principles are the same.

I'm presently trying to decide whether to abandon my affiliate sites, or not create any more, and start of with 20+ local biz sites. I will be aiming at the UK where local domains can be had for $4 each so allowing me more to spend on the recommended software.

Not sure how much the sites can be rented out for or how long it will take to earn income following Greg's course but would like to know how long it took to get the gold site to its present income.

Since I do local marketing, I liked the fact that it was on local sites.

I think it's hard for even affiliate sites nowadays to be million dollar sites! But Greg has made more than a million on local sites.

SO I do think local sites are more of a sure thing in this SEO climate (less competition, more chances of ranking), but of course you have to deal with client getting which is the challenge.

Robiyah, are UK local domains that cheap?? As in a co.uk?

Yes, .co.uk domains are £2.79 ($4.45) and if that is not available often a .org or .net could be available instead.

Greg, are you just building local sites in this course or can we expect to see some work done on affiliate sites? Most sites I have up and running at the moment are affiliate sites and I am wanting to get those revived and making some decent money again....if possible. It might be better to start over, just not sure at this stage. Do you go into how to sell the local sites in the course because obviously that is key for this particular technique to work.... and are you selling locally all over the US or even the World for that matter?

Shemp, OMG is different. Different techniques, built more for local than affiliate, different tools and different teaching style. Tell me, did you try the product before you bash it solely on the basis of one promo video? Have you actually worked with Mike or Kelly (I have) or spoken to them? If not you might want be a little less quick in judgement. And are you a BTF member?

Also the tools he recommends are just recommendations, not necessary. Personally, I did a coaching webinar with Mike Long on Magic Submitter as a cheaper replacement for both which is in OMG and Full Disclosure. Now, that software is still $67 a month but a far better alternative provided your content is good and you follow OMG strategy. EMDs do work, as I've got a site maintaining #1 spot for a month or so now.

*shrugs* doesn't bother me. The course is excellent regardless and is NOT on MM which is Mike's baby. Greg does over the shoulder on three sites. Built from scratch then ranked. And shorter than some BTF videos.

Actually, that's one bit I've not got into. I hadn't also anticipated doing a webinar. He just hit me up one morning on Facebook. And just because you work with someone doesn't automatically make you a shill, thank you.

OMG, in my opinion, is better than BTF simply because it goes into more detail. BTF is good for the community and the basics and of course Greg of OMG got started on BTF.

I'm not an affiliate of OMG (yet), but I can tell you it's one of the best courses I've ever purchased. Credit where credit is due. Greg has put tons of value in it.

What is the difference between that version and the original vEbook that I bought for $50 a few months ago?

Also to vstar650 how much money did it cost you to get that site ranked #2?

Hey guys, thank you for all the kind words, really appreciate it. Just going to address a few things...

First all, all of our example sites are #1 still, besides one (fresnoweddingphotographers.org) because I missed something with that site. One of the most important things with SEO right now is anchor text, and I just missed the campaigns for my generic and URL links for that site (I have over 800 sites and this is just a little example site - so i just looked over it)....and it not only got penalized but deindexed. So that right there should tell you how important anchor text is.

You HAVE to vary your anchor text, especially for EMDs, and we do it a very specific way. If you look up the anchor text for FresnoWeddingPhotographers.org - you will see every link has some version of "fresno wedding photographers" in it. This type of stuff is getting smacked hard, and google is going hard after over optimization. When you have an EMD (especially) and all your anchor text revolves around those keywords in that EMD, it's just not natural, and you're going to get smacked.

So if there's one thing you get right with SEO right now...make it your anchor text breakdown. No doubt this is one of the most important things.

This information is worth the course alone, and you can actually get it for free in any of our webinars, and I think we also have it on our blog in one of our posts.

Shemp, the idea that you're saying that this is a rehashed product is ridiculous. How can you say that if you haven't even seen it? What... you got that idea because of one of the same examples you saw in an e-mail? That's ridiculous.

And some of our most successful students came from BTF, so you're wrong again.

It's funny how people come in and blindly bash a product. If you actually went through the material, I would respect your feedback, but you obviously haven't, which i can tell from your statements.

And this doesn't just work for local. I rank #2 and #4 for the most competitive term in the precious metals market, "gold ira" (with two different sites). And of course this is just one of the examples we share in the course.

As for just having local site examples, I'm working on affiliate site examples as we speak. One of them is already first page for a term getting thousands of exact searches a month, we'll probably add it to the normal OMG area later down the road.

As for the price, we now combines the normal product and nitro into one product. It's $148 until Jan 1, 2013 then the price is going up AND we are taking out quite a few of the modules.

I got the email from omgmachine, this course seems promising and i love join it but the course fees is little bit high i guess...

I purchased the original "vEbook" when it first came out for $50. And recently they created a new members area at DLGuard Membership System . So I'm watching the videos in the new members area and a lot of the videos are saying to read the updated ebook. Where do I find the updated ebook? I don't see it anywhere in the new members area?

Also, a support ticket system would be nice for when I have questions. I don't see anywhere where I can submit a support ticket to ask questions.

Interesting, I happen to love the course and my rankings have skyrocketed.

some other videos in the members-area are ok. greg is a better teacher.

and yet people are making money. Flash doesn't make money. Solid teaching does. That they do quite well.

Hi guys... This is Kathy (on the BTF forum I'm just "Kath") - and I really just want to pop in here and tell you a couple things I know from personal experience...

First, I'm a BTF member - have been since May or June of 2011. I learned so much (actually, I'm still learning) from Mike & Kelly - but then, I started noticing Greg's postings in the forum and became very intrigued. He was active in the forum from the start, and he began posting his progress/process along the way - and trust me, he had a captive audience with me!

I've gotten to know Greg a little bit outside the typical forum interaction, and frankly, he has changed my entire approach to building sites with his advice (he gives more knowledge and support than ANYONE I have ever, ever met in this industry -and that includes Chris Farrell, for whom I have great respect and have learned from as well.).

I joined OMG Machines last week as a paid member - no comp/review copy or anything - and even though I'm currently not thinking of making local SEO sites (I might change my mind at some point), I love the over-the-shoulder style of teaching. Frankly, I think Greg is a natural born teacher. That was obvious even from his early posts in the BTF forum.

I haven't been a member of OMG for long - like a number of you have mentioned, it's a little more money than the typical WSO, so I hesitated a little before dropping the money - but please believe this: Greg is honest, ethical, and truly wants to teach you what he knows. I've been working on a project lately with someone outside of my own sites, but have started implementing some of Greg's advice on a couple of my old sites. They already look and feel better - and I'm looking forward to launching some fresh sites based on what I've learned. Several 'ah ha' moments already!

But, my real purpose in posting here today is to assure you that with Greg, you are dealing with a first-class gentleman - one I am very proud to know. I cannot say enough good things about him.

I've been "learning" online for about 2 years now. I buy everything under the sun that makes me think I can make money from it.

I finally see how to do seo and have it really work as well as knowing now how the content on my site should be optimized for today's Google.

I became an OMG member 10 days ago. I joined to learn how to create my own sites, but It has already shown me why some of the other sites I purchased have not been working!! I will be able to build better sites than any of the ones I have purchased.

I have the course and my partner and I are about 1/2 way through now. No question it offers tremendous opportunity if you take action and focus. Although I did not intend to offer SEO to local clients it is compelling and we may consider this business model. No doubt what they are teaching will boost my sites in the search engines.

Pros

Good content, well worth the money
Mike and Greg don't seem to hold anything back, they give you "secret" nuggets along with detailed instruction

Cons

Video quality is not good, can't read much of the content in the screen capture videos to the extent that important info is missed

Webinars and videos have a tendency to be too long. Being from marketing and operations backgrounds we are used to quick and to the point

Summary

If you have been through Bring the Fresh, this is the next step. Take action and you will make money. It might also be good to suggest to new members that they go through the BTF guide prior to starting OMG to get up to speed.

thanks guys, i can definitely recommend it to my readers now. Mike Long is indeed the real deal! its basically an seo course on how to rank affiliate and google adsense right? a bit on the costly side but will try to give it a go.

After reading this thread, I am definitely impressed that you are providing live examples of your rankings. Not too many people go out on a limb and show their actual sites in public forums.

The keywords dont have huge volume but you cant argue with the high rankings in google. I will have to take a look at this when I have a little time.

I think OMG is okay. For noobs it really takes you step by step. And does have great actionable content.

If you want a "cheaper" version of the same thing, I'd suggest the Adsense 100k Blueprint". I bought it years ago. And after going through all of the training in OMG, I'd say it is a carbon copy, just the selling hook is different - local and affiliate sites rather than Adsense, but same strategies. OMG just goes into a lot more detail with video.

So if you need visual guidance, go for OMG. If you can figure things out, go with 100k Blueprint.

And yes, I have gone through both programs in their entirety, so I am making a very informed comparison. And no, I am not knocking either. Hope this helps.

I don't know who told Mike he is good looking because he is just as hideous as I am when it comes to looks hehe, but he is dropping 24 karat gold nuggets inside of omg, nhb and his other programs as well. I've learned more with his stuff in 2 months than Ive learned in 5 yrs of IM. Just because he's not hansome as he thinks he is don't mean he isn't $$attractive$$

Just want to drop in a say a little something. I am a long time member of BTF (FD, VIP, the whole thang). And yes, Mike can be long winded (prefer reading to vids) but the material is the sh*t!
I have the first vbook but not the whole enchilada because I went with Source Wave. Mike, Greg, and Alex are buds. M&G have always been very helpful and magnanimous in their giving on BTF. The vbook is about SEO as it needs to be practiced today, people. These guys are real folks and if you pi*s away your hard earned shekels on BS WSOs, you get what you deserve. Don't think you can do this IM joint anymore without investing in your future. Those days is gone.

I made my first sale online using BTF, then OMG came along, which is like an upgraded version of BTF. Kelly Felix with BTF and Mike and Greg of OMG and NHB are the best. They're Great mentors and teachers that know what their doing and go way out of their way to help one succeed.


I've been in the game for 8 years and have seen it all. In my humble opinion, overall, they offer the best IM training online PERIOD.

Does OMG teach how to approach local businesses and get the deal?

I have been looking into some local niches where I live and thought about put them into action, but my problem is with contacting the business and make the first sale

Also you think OMG works outside USA? I'm living in Norway

OMG is still going even Stronger! I was just on a webinar that lasted over 2+ hours, Mike and Greg (and others, Joe + Fletch) ....

The material has expanded and prices have zoomed. But the program is now Lifetime and like all you can eat (forever). Aim is to WIN in 2014. oh and just Think $3000/day.

Well, as it is too expense for me I am very happy they give so much out during the webinars. Really, not just crumbs, I get some juicy bites in every free webinar (I have sat in several). Tips, hints, and plain do this or don't do that. Greg has detailed how to vary anchor text. These guys are great. Thanks!
