This is Ryan Deiss' newest launch. I have gotten no less than 15 emails from 7 different people pimping it.

I guess that's what happens when you make a name for yourself.

Is anyone getting it or have it?

What are your thoughts?

Personally, I think the topic is very interesting...

It's actually something I mentioned to my customers back in August and something I've been obsessed with for a little while now.

I haven't purchased just yet, but it's likely that I will soon.

This morning I launched a report on the topic of these authority sites like those discussed in the "pre-launch".

Shameless promo - If you want to check it out, it's in my sig....and 100% free BTW...not even an opt-in necessary.

Thanks ED...I will check it out. Back to the question: No thoughts..I did not buy the product.

Can't believe someone's pitching the creation of magazine sites as a new or easy way to make money online.

Probably one of the tougher business models out there, so I hope anyone who attempts it has lots of stamina and deep pockets.

There is a review of it here: Authority ROI | Ryan Deiss’ Authority ROI Member Review. If you scroll down to the Authority ROI Training section, it lists the different modules and what they cover so you can get an idea of what you would be buying.

As a disclaimer, the post has affiliate links in it.

I've been watching this launch and seen the site used in the videos.

It's Ryan's poorly thought out version of curation.

What he shows as examples are copying and pasting posts from other sites and linking back to them.

Hardly a good example of curation.

It's a policy that will get you nailed by Google and possibly sued by the people who's posts you copy.

And do I believe that crappy site got a million page views a month?

      Sure. You can buy them.

If you had a million dollar launch resting on it, wouldn't you?

His Facebook page doesn't sustain those numbers.

I don't think his training works that way. He is taking the opposite of guest blogging, not copying others' posts and pasting them in his site. He is teaching us to look for great writers who have a wide reach of audience, then pay them to write in our site. I haven't bought the product myself but upon reading those free eBooks he gave and watching those videos in his page, I have learned a lot. Also, I don't care if those numbers are real or not. I just think his ideas are out-of-the-box and simply amazing!

Yes, it's about magazine style websites with writers you pay to write content. About being a publisher.

He does make this known model seem so attractive. He makes it look so simple. Every internet marketer is going to be a millionaire soon now I think.

But to me, it looks scary.
What scares me is thinking of all the upsells and continuity that will be pimped to me (most likely).

You really don't need much more info on this...
If you have a deep pocket to hire bunch of folks in authority in their domain knowledge and can convince them to write for you cheap, then go and buy the product!
.... after few years you will be able to sell/flip the site for couple of millions $s like HuffPost!...

I was also sent this by many aff marketers. Have read up about it and would probably try but as someone pointed out presumably there will be all the upsells to get the most of it. Hmmm not sure whether to try or not.

No one is going to write for a new blog unless it already has content - a lot of quality content.

If someone is a bog name in the industry, why would they lower their standards?

Bottom line is that you need to establish credibility first.

Good grief, then if you had authority yourself you wouldn't need those writers. I don't think I get what they are selling here. So you like have to invest thousands of dollars on publishing top rate content?

Ryan is an expert in whatever topic is hot at the moment.
Right now, it's "authority" site creation.

It's a much better idea to dissect his actual business model than to purchase his products.

      100% correct

never buy any of these guys products. here is why

there is a huge amount of energy time and money that is invested in a launch such as this.

I believe to the point that the content becomes moot.

what you do is create a morgue swipe file and reverse engineer everything these guys do

that is worth much more than the actual course itself.

One thing that really stood out was the 90 day guarantee. Refreshing; more marketers should be doing this IMO. I salute giving people enough time to get their feet wet and see if the product is a fit. It was so annoying to see Amazing Money Machines or whatever it was offer a whopping 30 days - for 1000's of dollars - when their course is being drip-fed!

I've actually bit the bullet and went with Authority ROI for the one payment plan. So far, so good. Ryan definitely has his stuff together. Very professional deliverables and no fluff, just to the point of getting down to the basics and more advanced ways of building out an authority site. I like what i'm seeing so far.

On another note, he includes 5 different premium magazine themes you could choose for your site. I like them all, could i ask one you guys that's very familiar with WP themes, what is your favorite WP Magazine theme out there? Also, if you've seen a site that may have had that theme applied. Thanks.

You could always try out Genesis Themes they have several Magazine themes to choose from. StudioPress Premium WordPress Themes on the right click on the Theme Category drop down and choose magazine news. They all have demo sites
You could also have a look at Themedy as they have some magazine themes for Genesis also.
My suggestion is to make sure it is a responsive theme also.
      Good Luck

I bought and bought the upsells. All together about $600
Actually I think that the launch was very successful and really dont think that they were ready for it. The modules are being release at about 2 a week and most of the first ones are about getting a domain then going to the hosting account and picking out a theme ect. Then you wait till the next modules come out so that you can continue. They did however release a couple more modules sooner than they were planning cause a few people were getting antsy. What i am seeing so far is that this is starting out like everyone that buys is a newb and therefore they are trying to train you as such.

I have my own site and product so of course I am wanting to move ahead of most and I put in a request by way of a ticket thru customer support and did it three days ago and still no answer. Some of the admins have chimed in and said that they are getting to the tickets as fast as possible.

I have seen that a few people already asking for refunds.I am not asking for a refund yet but will if they dont get to my ticket soon. If I had known that they wouldnt have their s*** together i would have waited till everything had settled down from the launch.

Once we get out of the newb stage i think that this might be a keeper. Just gotta get my questions answered then I can opinionate a little more intelligently.

I forget if it's in this course that it's mentioned, or just in other places I've read, where, in the vein of making sure there is demand for your product, they'll suggest you sell it first and then create it, which feels like what is going on here.I also got it and am eager to get to the meat of it, but losing patience.

In the promo, Ryan mentions a super duper "secret" source where he finds bloggers. He says this resource also shows PlusClout.

Does anybody know the places online where one can hire a blogger and determine their influence?

For me, that was the only useful portion of the video sales letter.

I didn't sit through the entire promo (if you view these types of ads on your iphone then you can scroll forward, even if Ryan has disabled the fast forward option). But the video didn't go into any modules. I honestly have no idea what I would learn if I sign up. I feel like the Amazing Selling Machine guys did the same thing. They hype up an opportunity, but they don't actually tell you what's inside the course. After reading this thread, I now think that's because the course hasn't even been created yet.

      Here you go:

Klout | The Standard for Influence

Google Plus Directory | Google Plus Search | Find People on G+

The first one lets you determines a person's reach through the use of a scale from 0-100. The average is usually around 40, anything below that is terrible, anything above 60 is great. For instance, my influence score was 40 and I'm not even known, I'm just an average joe ha ha.

The second also uses a score using plusClout and also takes all their main social media platforms that an individual is on and averages their reach. the only problem with this site is I tried doing a search on it and I come up with an error message. The best thing to do is go through the occupations on the side to find people within your category that you're looking for. Hope this helps.

      Hi Dwight,

So you had to join Warrior Forum under another name?

My dog site is doing just fine thank you. We did over 100,000 hits a day at the beginning of April.

And it is moving to dominate the niche.
