Write articles that people might read - like giving out tips, advice and guides. I'm sure other warrior members out there willing to share their experiences.

Make sure your articles have a consistent, conversational tone.
Online readers don't tend to respond too well to academic, authoritative voices on everyday websites. Obviously it's expected on academic or governemnt sites etc., but I'm assuming you're not looking for advice to write articles for sites such as those.
Just write the way you speak, your audience will respond to you on a more personal level.
Give examples of personal experience if you can to make your reader more likely to relate to you and keep them from clicking that mouse.
You really have a tiny window to engage your reader online, so make your headline as irresistible as possible and get straight into your subject. This is easier to do if you know your topic well, so it's best to start writing articles on a niche you know a lot about to get the technique down pat. You'll then be more comfortable to branch out into less familiar niches and write from research rather than personal knowledge or passion.
Keep it to around 500 words and make every word work for you.

A good structure to start off with is the bulleted article, with an introductory paragraph, then 3 or so bulleted points, concluding paragraph and then bio box.
Take the time to write a good bio box with compelling calls to action to generate those sales.

      Best of luck.

      Cheers,

      Sissy

Could not put it better than this. Probably the best tip you can get for your article writing with as less words as possible. Short and to the point.

Another thing I can add to it is keyword research. proper keyword research can bring up a lot of things that people are looking to learn. If you headline matches their search and your article is made like the things said above than you have a winner.

        Good luck,

First, I would go to ezine articles and review the viewed articles and authors. These are the best examples you'll find of what is working. I would study their structure and the kinds of headlines they use as well.
