How to get the big businesses in my niche to market my product?

Essentially what I'v got is a fairly comprehensive niche fitness site that I put together but currently it's advocating an "affiliate product", not my own. So right now I don't think I could contact other more established, fitness professionals/brands/marketers online and ask that they give a shout out to my website because essentially they wouldn't get anything out of doing so...

So I was considering finishing my own fitness product/program, adding it to ClickBank and thereafter possibly getting the more established businesses in my niche to become affiliates. I understand that currently they would be putting their reputation on the line by promoting my fitness site on their social media/site etc, making no profit at all and even sending their visitors somewhere else... but if I created a product for them to market, their reputation would be safe (with so much scam out there in the online weight loss / strength training world, I have a decent product with proven transformations by clients gaining 25lb of muscle in 6 months with videos, doctors reports, fitness assessments etc. not just photoshopped/stolen before-after images and I'm also a specialist personal fitness trainer) and they could make 75% commission etc. So essentially it wouldn't be just "another fitness ebook", it'd be the real deal.

Am I living in a fantasy land or is my approach somewhat realistic?

- Thanks.

It seems you have a USP (unique selling point) so that is a start. As you know the fitness market is very crowded so you need to stand out.

I would focus on building something and make sure you get lots of proof and document everything along the way. Use every tool you can to start to brand yourself now, press releases, HARO , release a book etc... anything to get yourself branded

Aim to get to a place where people are asking you if you have a product

You're right in that at least having a product you can contact them and hope they become affiliates. So no it's not living a fantasy dream

But contacting them is just a way to get affiliates, a way to get traffic - there are more ways to get traffic if that doesn't work out. You can have more than just an ebook as a product, try to create more products because that means more money.

Isn't that what real entrepreneurs do thinking big and going after their dream? Some people would say you dream but if you know what you want and you even have all the steps already done to get a product out of it then do it.

I mean the market is crowded but I believe there is no such thing as saturation or to much competition as long as you stand out with your product.

  • I don't think you're in a fantasy or having an unrealistic goal. You literally have a product up there, and that is all you need. You've gotten almost everything down.

So you want to sell it on Clickbank, right?

I've never made a product in the fitness niche and sold it on Clickbank, but the logistics of getting affiliates is almost always the same as in the traditional Make Money Online niche.

    -------

Do you know who Craig Ballantyne is? I was one of his original affiliates back in the day for his product, "Intermittent Fasting". He has had a ton of other successful launches. Most definitely a millionaire by now. He's a great guy who has some awesome training as well for muscle building and weight loss.

I eventually saw he had an interview done with the man of the Clickbank fitness world, Mike Geary, the guy who made Truth About Abs.

If you could team up with him or Craig, you can have them marketing your product to their "fitness affiliates", and also to their own list of weight loss/muscle building customers, and you're golden.

Find a way to get their attention, and you'll create a winning product.

    Hi,

I just wrote a reply in another thread to a question that was very similar to yours.

Having your own product is a great idea.

Like you said, why would anyone promote your website otherwise? If they aren't going to make a cut on the commission (and unless you are going to pay them directly to promote your site) no one is going to promote you.

Yes there is currently a lot of products in that market but there is also a lot of people searching and buying in the market as well.

But before you create a product let me ask you a question:

Are you currently building a subscriber list?

Focus on this first. provide value in the market place and build a list. From this list go out and make sales for other product owners.

Product owners want to know what kind of return they will make on the sale (EPC) and can you mail back for them.

If you are making sales for them, then you can approach them and say that you have a complimentary product. Once you have a couple of key promotional partners then launch your product.
