Using Clickbank vs JVZoo for Releasing Product

Hey there!

I was wondering if I can get some advice on if I should use Clickbank or JVZoo as the Affiliate Program for my Information Product. It will be a male dating product.

I've heard about JVZoo's ability to easily integrate with Paypal and Getresponse, so when people purchase my product I can straight away put them onto a list in Getresponse using the email they use to purchase my product with. I'm not so sure if this can be done with Clickbank though. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Now my issue is do I stick with just one of the two above or do I use both? When I looked around in JVZoo for similar products I have to say none really stood out compared to male dating products on Clickbank. I know JVZoo is great for MMO products but it seems to lack in other niches from what I've seen.

Has anyone released a product and put it on both Clickbank and JVZoo? Ideally a dating product, but I'm just looking for advice.

I have everything ready from the finished product to the funnel I have setup. Just need to know which one is best to use.

    This is one of those times that "both" is probably not the right answer, Kim. I suspect that very few serious affiliates (i.e. the ones you most want!) would promote it on that basis.

      Thanks Alexa your replies are always so helpful. I never knew about the marketplace problem which might be an issue for some affiliates. Great info in those links you shared so I learnt quite a bit from them.

      If my product got people onto an email list is this possibly another turnoff for the top affiliates on Clickbank, seeing that they probably use email marketing themselves?

        GetResponse integrates with Clickbank: Clickbank Integration GetResponse Email Marketing Integration

        It's important you know that both JVZoo and Clickbank use GetResponse's API. That means before you launch your product you need to contact GetResponse's compliance department and request single optin at the API level for one of your lists/campaigns.

        Even if you have it set to single optin when you setup your campaign, the GetResponse API is double optin by default unless you contact them. You don't want double optin when launching a product as there will be many people who purchase that won't confirm their subscription.

        Clickbank charges/fee's there's an initial setup fee of $49.95 and per transaction fee of 7.5% plus $1: https://support.clickbank.com/entrie...ClickBank-Fees

        JVZoo is free to list, there's a per transaction fee of 5%.

        No, every product creator uses email marketing, it's par for the course.

        When it comes to which platform you should choose, honestly, I'm not in the dating niche and couldn't give you an answer based on personal experience.

        But if I WAS in your position, I'd take a shot with JVZoo and try to leverage the instant commission factor to get some affiliates on board.

      I would research the top dating products on cb that are competitors of your product or sell a similar product and model their exact layout and style of their sales funnel including price points. Just make sure your offer is different and try to do it better than them.

        Thank you for your advice there.

        Are there fees for vendors to list their products on Clickbank. If so what exactly are they?

        I think for my product Clickbank seems to offer higher quality products in that niche compared to JVZoo, which is awesome for the MMO niche.

        My product won't be your typical dating product seen on Clickbank as it's already difficult to compete with the top ones listed there. So I created something different which focuses on a particular area of it.

    I agree with Mark completely. I have read a few threads about exactly this question and the general conclusion:
    1. Start with JVZoo.
    2. Move to ClickBank after JVZoo has shown you how your sales pages perform, optin rates, feed back from affiliates or lack of.
    3. Get ready to deal with ClickBanks delayed payments, and very lax refund rate. One guy lost over 75% of his sales to refunds even though the software works flawlessly. People took his course and then requested money back - within 60 days. With JVZoo, you control refunds.

    And Mark, I checked out your site. Very slick and informative.

      Though, I'm not in the dating niche, my 2 cents would be to go with JVzoo first. Instant commissions is VERY appealing. Then follow with Clickbank.

      2 market places, surely, has to be better than 1, yes?

          Whatever you decide to do, here, Kim, I'd advise you never to approve for immediate PayPal commissions any affiliates you don't know: that's just a recipe for affiliate fraud and expensive accidents (there are many threads here, discussing this)!

        Absolutely happy to offer what little I know to a another WF'er. As an aside, I noticed that Clickbank is super easy for affiliates to use, while JVZoo is not that easy. You need around 25 sales to get approved by a lot of product creators on JVZoo but ClickBank is all automatic approval. Could be a good or bad thing. I still think JVZoo is the best way to go for product creators. Pushing my product out the door now!

    Buddy go for jvzoo as it is free to list your products but main disadvantage using clickbank is that they have $50 listing fees which is much more for newbies

    Has anyone every used JVZoo's ValueAddon Software? It's ValueAddon.com. It looks much better than Kajabi, etc. I haven't tried it yet, but if I can even link it to Post Affiliate Pro, I may have found something.
