Paypal have sanbox functionality to test every thing.? this is the only way i can test.

once i click on button it is taking me to the right page and showing the right amount but i just wanted to make sure that the page i have set up for users after they check out is working smoothly or not.?

Get a friend to buy your product, then you re-imberse them - It'll be just a Money-Go-round that will only incurr small paypal charge ;-)

Sandbox is a pain in the butt and doesn't always work correctly. Unless it's gotten better.

Might not work for you, but I have two pay pal accounts. I set the product to .01 and buy it with my other account.

Or like fred said, have some one else buy it.

I had this problem once and I offered a fellow warrior who had once reviewed a product of mine to run a test purchase for me.

I then refunded them the fee and let them keep the product as thankyou to them.

You could also ask a friend or family member to run the test purchase for you if possible.

    Hi Shami,

You could reduce the price to the minimum (if there is one) and ask someone to make a purchase. Or use an additional PayPal account if you have one to place the order.

PayPal has really change the sandbox functions. The last time I tested in the Sandbox the recurring payments was not working properly.

You can get to the sandbox at...

    http://developer.paypal.com

    Click on the Dashboard link
Click on the Accounts link under the Sandbox heading in the sidebar menu
Next login with your PayPal account login
Then you have to click the create account button so you can create your first of 2 test accounts.

One of the accounts will be the seller account. I would suggest the syntax be something like this...

    seller@yourdomainname.com

The seller account should be a verified business account. You should make the password the same for both accounts and be some thing you can easily remember.

Then you need to create a buyer account. Syntax should be something like this...

    buyer@yourdomainname.com

The buyer account should be a personal account.

After you have created your test accounts, click the "enter sandbox site" link. This will take you to a login page where you will login as the seller test account.

When you are in the test account create an order button for your test. put that order button on a webpage on your site and then you will be taken through the entire order process with play money.

Everytime you want to test a new product you will just have to login to the seller sandbox account in the developer area and make a new order button.

I use the sandbox every day but I don't have to create the order buttons. I have software that I created that just lets me put my product in test mode and then the live order button turns into a test button.

When you get a friend to test the order process for you, your friend does not know what the order process is suppose to look like. You don't see what your friend is seeing.

What if the process is suppose to go to an upsell? If it does not go to the upsell will you friend know to tell you.

In the sandbox you see everything and can even login to the seller account to see the amounts of money that was collected. This is important to me because I do a lot of work with PayPal's Adaptive APIs.

I hope this has been helpful,
    Steve Yakim
