Have you made money buying existing sites

Hey warriors I do alot of offline marketing and have done pretty well init. I am looking at some more ways to earn passive income so I am thinking of getting back into niche sites which is where I started but didn't last very long in it before getting into offline marketing.

My question for you is have you made money buying existing websites like off freemarket.com and other domain selling websites? Or would you recommend just creating a site from scratch and building up your own visitors?

    Hey George,

    Have you ever tried flipping websites? It is alot more easier than buying websites and trying to build it up yourself. Flipping is quick and easy and will make you a few bucks for only a couple hours of work.

    Take a look at this video:
    This guy will teach you all about it in this video. He also has many other videos covering flipping sites, just click on his channel and do a search in the search bar and there will be a few more vids.

    Though it's not nearly as 'easy' as it once was, you can still do very well if you're willing to put in the time & effort by combing through Flippa.

    There are still plenty of listings for sites for which the original owner couldn't - didn't know how to - make their site profitable, but are otherwise very good sites that, in the right hands, could become very profitable.

    Since selling price is most commonly a multiple of earnings, this is an excellent way to pick up otherwise strong sites for very little, turn them around, and then flip them at tremendous profit.

    Hey dude,

    The guy that runs Viral Nova and is making STOOPID money was said to be a successful website flipper and has been doing so since the 2000's.

    Websites are much alike real estate. Good property will always sell with good salesmanship and marketing!

    generally a bad idea. if a website is good and making real passive income it's rarely gonna be sold. when someone sells a website there's usually a good reason for it (expected decrease in sales, inflated sales, banned from a program, lost some clients, undisclosed expenses, or simply made up earnings). there can be some gems but you have to dig through a whole lot of trash to find them and that takes a lot of homework and analyzing the site, and expect to pay a ton for the real thing

    im not sure why everyone is talking about flipping, as i understand you dont want to resell right?

      Yes that is correct, I am primarily looking at building up some sites or buying a site or two and build up visitors and make some passive income off the sites.

    I've been in web development, flipping, domains, and a few other things for 2 decades. If you're a beginner, I wouldn't advise website flipping. You really need to know the ropes. A lot of money can be made but the learning curve is pretty steep and your money, even when you know what you're doing, is better spent on high-ticket sites. I'd recommend, instead, either domain flipping (more profit per dollar spent) or building your own websites and flipping both the domain AND the website. In short: don't rush into it, George. Save your cash to either flip domains and or sites.

    To buy an old site can be a good idea, but ONLY if you know what to look for. In most case you are not buying the websites itself, you will probably get rid of the graphics and many things especially because if someone is selling a website usually is because it is not making money.

    Generally what you are buying is the traffic and the link profile of the blog so you should be able to analyze them, I will suggest to not put money and work on a domain that is next to be penalized.

    When you work on a website you will spend months working on it, and it is never a great idea to put all your work on a website soon to be deindexed.
