How do I reduce the ads on my computer?

Hello;

I bought a new computer about two and a half months ago and now the thing is hard to look up anything and read anything because the ads pop up constantly. Constantly.

They grow up from the bottom, edge in from the right and the top is covered with ads and now it is hard to read anything.

i am sure there is a way to filter out the ads on this HP microsoft but I don't know how.

Pleas help.

Thanks

jim

PS This took about one minute and already I can see ads in every direction. top is covered and so is left of screen and right is about one quarter.

Did you download anything since it started happening? Like a toolbar or game software? If so some come with ads, it's in the terms that no one reads.

Or you have a virus or spyware on your computer.

Run your antivirus after updating it, then go download Malwarebytes and run it, it's free. If you still have problems get spybot search and destroy, run a scan, also free.

Adaware is another good free one. Sometimes one program will find stuff the other one did not. I use them all.

      CCleaner.
      Lavasoft Adaware
      Malwarebytes
      JetClean from Bluesprig

Something has updated in your computer, often it is the browser.

Always click the manual install option, or decline button. Most often you can get the updates you want, even without clicking auto update.

Stop downloading from free game sites.

Scan your computer with Avast! or comparable scanner. Do a boot-time scan. Any other scan is insufficient at this point. Check the back of your computer for any USB drives that you don't recognize just in case.

Then immediately install AdBlock Plus to your Web browser.

On the whole, you get what you pay for.
