The best way to get 100k players for game

Hi guys,

The game just launched and our goal is 100.000 players for one month. We got about 3.000 players for 5 days - not enough.
You can play it for free, but there are tickets too and with these you can play tournaments to win nice money.

The game has social aspect. Also, we are ready to pay for sign ups. The thing we need is EXPLOSION

SEO, Social networking, Affiliates? What's the best way to find players?

Thanks,

Boban

How much are you willing to spend on installs? Have you ever considered using a CPA company?

Best way is to make players make game-currency / points or even real money ... by inviting friends

To get that amount quickly you would need some press from some a large gaming network
or through advertising. So either you can outreach to some larger networks or spend money

If you don't mind more of a long term solution you can do a traffic campaign which involves contributing to gaming forums, leveraging social media, and video marketing among other things.

The later method will take a team of people (or some level of automation) and require a consistent dedicated effort however to be effective.

    what's the game about?
make the game more complex, harder but fun too...
if it's too easy people will get bored of it.

The harder it is the better. People love challenges.

I suggest you try to advertise with other games and offer in-game items for recruiting friends. Maybe you could tell us the game here, so we could comment on how it is as a game. I myself tend to get addicted to games, maybe I can be one of your 100K gamers.

    Fiverr's contest is actually great.
    - You invite 1 friend = 1 point.
    - If they signup = 10 points.
    - If they spend money = 100 points.

(points might not be correct tho).

The one that gets the most points (during a month or so), wins a valuable prize.

It's picture game when you have short time to guess what's on picture including monuments, landscapes, celebrities, animals etc.
You are playing with your friends and the player with the most answers going into next round.
You can cash some money playing tournaments.
Also, there is invite friends and you can share on Facebook, Twitter, Goolge +, Email.

  • Boban,

By implementing the right video / social advertising campaigns and strategic tactics for social media buzz generation -- You could successfully hit your targets (or even bigger targets) with Youtube video marketing and social media marketing ...

    According to this 2015 report...

    QUOTE:
    • Felix Kjellberg's PewDiePie channel is still on top of their Most Subscribed YouTube channels chart for the second month in a row. The twentysomething Swede with an affinity for Minecraft, high-pitched expletives, and charitable campaigns saw a substantial 23% month-over-month increase in subscribers and scored nearly 909,100 new subscribers during the 31 days of January ...
    /QUOTE

And, according to this 2013 feature news story...

    QUOTE:
    • A 23 year-old Swedish gamer named Felix Kjellberg, whose PewDiePie channel is devoted to "sharing gaming moments on YouTube with my bros", is currently the most-viewed channel on the service ...
    • PewDiePie's YouTube channel has 9.8M subscribers ...
    • According to online video site Tubefilter's latest Top 50 chart, PewDiePie generated just under 50M views in the week between 27 June and 3 July, putting it ahead of Turkish music videos channel Muyap (45.6M) and another games channel, Sky Does Minecraft (35.5M) ...

    That's it for now. Cheers!

Received your private message. Haven't tried it yet.

Is there an initial fund when you start, or you immediately have to pay to play? Also, there should be a place where you don't need money to play. It is more fun to get people hooked first before you cash in on them. And on tournaments, how would you identify those that are super smart from those that are just normal. I mean, I would get devastated and quit if I can't even win once with all my opponents being sharks waiting to cash in on average players.

You can play for free, but to play for prices you need to fund your account to buy tickets.

Go to 'Google' punch in 'You Tube". Assuming you're using Firefox, you'll see the #2 result is a lady who is most likely about to lose her job as the director of YT in the near and not so distant future.

If you read the article "YouTube:1 Billion Viewers, NO Profit!", the article denotes a person on YouTube (*who has 35MILLION SUBSCRIBERS) and is named; Felix 'PewDiePie' Kjellberg.

The reason this pertains to your 'need' is because, if this guy can get 35 MIllion YouTube Subscribers... You need him to make fun of your game, and include it in one of his titles. Now what your willing to do to get his attention to your picture game is entirely at your own discretion, lol.

Interesting idea, thanks. Although, this guy is not easy to get in touch with.

Getting a review from ANY popular YT channel would really boost your game audience.

You may also launch a Kickstarter.com promotional campaign. Place there a teaser of your game, describe its benefits and ask for $1-$5 donations only. Your goal is to attract players, not to raise money, am I right?

You can also list your game on Greenlight on Steam to reach even larger audience.

Yet the most pressing matter is to keep the audience from leaving. So you'd better make sure your game has lots of interesting content, before people get bored and leave.

Using your closest competitors game names as your keywords -twitter would be good. Also targeting your competitors urls with PPV ads.
