What should you put in header banner?

Hey everybody. I just added a header banner to my site last night after spending awhile trying to figure out the exact spot to put it in and working on the size of it. I was wondering what would be the best thing to use it for? I was thinking clickbank at first but wasn't able to find any good banners for bring the fresh and ended up using a CPA offer instead. I was thinking it might be easier to get a lead verses a sale anyways and making anything at this point is better than nothing. I was also thinking about using adsense but I already have it at the top, middle, and bottom of my post and didn't want that to be the 1st thing people see when they visit the site. I was also playing around with the layout last night and was going to flip the sidebar on the opposite side and thought it looked kind of cool but backwards in a way. All well, could I get some advice about the banner and if this is a good idea or if it will just take away from the rest of the site. Thanks alot

    Hey,

    It's impossible to say whether it's a good idea or will "take away from your site" without seeing it. (Is it the needbucksnow.com banner in the top right of that site? Or the one in the middle above the green text? Or are you talking about a different site?)

    I think both of those banners are okay. Though they are quite aggressively placed and could possibly be a bit much when viewed on mobile devices.

    Regarding what you use the banner slots for, I'd suggest testing. Run a CPA offer there for a while, then try adsense (while not exceeding more than three ads on a page) for a while, etc.

    You need to test and find out what works well for your site with your audience...

    Yeah. The 1st one is the banner and the other is adsense. Testing is the only way to find out I guess and wish there was a sure fire way to know what to do but that is the best way sometimes

    Adsense is the best one to place on the top of the header space, but Ive never used Clickbank ads to promote. You should try as per your knowledge.

      Yeah. I want ahead and changed it to adsense and took the other one at the top of the page out of there. Hopefully this will do better anyways and let me know what you think about it now. Thanks alot

    Are you using a phone to post? I ask because your threads have these huge blocks of text with no structure and that makes it difficult to read....

    Sorry about that. I do sometimes use my phone to post but think I wrote this one on my laptop. Any other idea why it does that?
