How To Tell How Much Each Subscriber Is Worth

Hi.

So I have a steady growing list that gets around 35+ opt ins from youtube traffic every day. I want to now start running my own adsense ads before my videos to snatch up some more leads.

I can get these down to 2 cents per click.

Before continuing I'd like to know how much on average each subscriber is worth in my funnel.

Is there a way I can get a solid number on this?

For example, If I know that each subscriber on average has a value of $1.21, then investing 100 dollars to 100 subscribers will always be a win.

I can track this manually, but that of course takes lots of time and effort.

Does anyone know of a solid way to nail down the value of each subscriber, without all the grunt work of doing everything manually?

I think some experienced marketers would know this. It does seem important to me.

There's no easy answer to this question. It varies for every business, because everyone monetizes differently.

You need months of solid data to determine anything relevant - And your methods need to stay exactly the same. Something as simple as adding an extra email in your AR sequence can have an impact on lifetime value.

If you're talking about just in your funnel like you said above, you wjust do the math. For instance -

Say you have 1000 subscribers -

    30% open rate = 300 opens
    15% ctr = 45 clicks
    10% cvr = 4.5 sales

What's the average customer worth? For this example, lets say $50

Total sales = $225 - Per 1000 subscribers. So you divide your total income, $225 by 1000 subscribers. Each subscriber equals .22 1/2 cents.

It's important to always keep track of your figures. Staying organized is very important. Especially when you're trying to scale up. Currently, I have 12 different google spread sheets open, across 3 different browsers.

It's very hard to truly judge the value of a subscriber without really looking at the value you add in return to your subscribers. You can have a strong/valuable subscriber which can very quickly become valueless if you bombard them with junk or non relevant offers. Whereas if you offer value and don't just try to sell to them every time you mail them that same subscriber can become even more valuable as they come to know your name and open more of your emails.

So to cut a long statement short send value to your list and watch it's value increase in return.

If you really want to know it, look at:

If you take an overall realistic figure then in my opinion if you are receiving 2 views per subscriber per year then subscribers are worth $10 per 1,000 subscribers, 1 cent per subscriber per year or $10,000 per 1 million subscribers!
