Increasing Sales Through Low Cost oDesk Outsourcing

Hi Warriors!

I have about $1,500 to invest in outsourcing to low cost internet marketing freelancers via oDesk.

I plan on offering a wage of about $0.50 per hour until they make a sale and then increasing it to $2 to $3 per hour plus commission. And if they aren't able to make any sales/leads within the first 1 or 2 weeks I'll have to discontinue the contract with that particular freelancer. Obviously because of the low rate I've only had people from countries such as India, Bangladesh, and the Phillippines bid on the projects I posted on oDesk.

My products cost at least $1,500 and are systems to create clean, very healthy drinking water so I need to recruit freelancers who know what they are doing. My plan is to hire about 5 freelancers, 1 for social media marketing, 1 for forum marketing, 1 for telemarketing, 1 for content marketing, and 1 for classified ads marketing.

I'm planning on having hired freelancers to record their time on hub staff.com, as it also has the option to record productivity levels and take screenshots. I'm using this instead of oDesk's time tracker as they set the minimum wage for hourly projects to $3.00 per hour.

In addition, I will be setting up a website so the people I hire can send potential prospects to it and traffic.

For each sale I will be making $200 to $500 commission, and with daily ongoing training I'm hoping that's the 5 freelancers I plan on hiring will help make a total of at least 4-5 sales a week at minimum. So a commission of about $1,500 to $2,500 weekly with a cost of only $100 to $200 for a weeks worth of work of 200 hours.

I know this type of profit percentage seems crazy, but I believe if I put in the time into hiring the right freelancers, firing the wrong ones, and providing regular, daily trainings and meetings via Skype, it would be possible.

And once I succeed in making a decent profit on a consistent basis with 5 freelancers, I'll work on recruiting and training another 5 and another 5 etc,

Does anyone have a bit of insight, ideas or tips to contribute? Thanks!

Personally, I don't believe you'll be able to find freelancers who can bring you in sales for a $1,500 product, when paying them a starting wage of $0.50/hour. If they were that good at bringing in sales, they would probably be already doing affiliate marketing, or some other type of marketing on their own.

I would try and set up somewhat of an affiliate commission structure, so if you make a minimum of $200 commission, offer to pay them $50-$100 per sale they make.

I don't think you're going to get too many takers. Even in the Philippines, where the minimum wage is under $15 per day in the NCR region, your offer is too low. You are offering an effective rate of $4 for a day's work.

Also, if you want to attract people who KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING, you need to increase your offer.

Otherwise, I suggest you doing your own marketing, streamline the process, and start filtering people who would work for realistic wages.
