Can an RSS feed break?

I think I may have broken my RSS feeds, because I have removed a ot of the information.

I don't know the technicalities of it all, but wonder does removing content from an RSS feed break it, especially in relation to already having submitted my RSS feeds to directories.

    Strange Characters can break how a feed displays in some readers. Bad coding or a screwed up file can also do it. With out more info it's hard to help you --

    ie what's generating your rss feed

    where are you trying to view it.

      Oh no, I mean when removing an article from my blog, will that then have an adverse effect on the submissions I have made to RSS directories?

      Thus making the submitted feed broken and useless?

    Nope - worse case scenario is you have a few links out there pointing to a page that no longer exists. If your using wordpress it will automatically 404 --- so even search engines can still see your other links and follow them.
