My Opinion:Video reviews are better than article reviews

Hello,

From my recent experience, I feel that reviews of products and services are best done in video format. They tend to be more effective with an actual person behind the camera, and not an artificial whiteboard or voice-over AI.

Articles tend to be much less effective, and are really becoming less effective as Google(the most popular SE) evolve.

In my experience, I made more sales with articles than videos. But it was back then. Now Google has disfavored articles and article sites do not rank well.

The downside of video I think is where you put the links. Some people may not see it easily.

Probably not the answer you are looking for but I like to do a combination of both. The videos can be more engaging but only if they are actually recorded by someone speaking about the content. I hate the AI videos you are referring to. I usually write those off as lazy affiliates looking to get clicks.

I like to record a video. Make an article version and then embed the video on my blog where I post the article. This is the best of both worlds and caters to those who like to read and those who like to watch.

Written content will always have its place, but for reviews I think I can agree with you.

Psychologically, video reviews will always have more impact.

On the whole, you get what you pay for.

Is it that videos are better for selling yourself as an authority rather than an individual product.
