How would you spend $400?

G'day warriors,

I have 'stumbled' upon about $400 USD. And, I feel like spending it productively rather than buy some clothes and a GShock. What should I do? What would you do?

I was thinking buy 10 micro-niche websites service. $1/day with 10 websites is a healthy $300/month income. But, recently there's been a debate that they wont make you money anymore since Google has become more strict.

Would love your ideas!

If you have a solid business plan that works with good ROI, with no any doubt, you can spend money on that.

First, you should know that micro-niche sites still work. In my experience (have a number of them), the success of such a site has a lot to do with the product you choose to promote. If done properly, you can see results in a matter of days (from the time the product you're promoting launches) -- even if you don't have a list. While Google does make algorithm changes (has done that from the get go), they are not a big deal. Just put out quality stuff that provides value, and you'll be fine.

As for the money, I wouldn't spend $400 because it doesn't take that money money to get into niche blogging. All you need to start out with is a domain (around $13 per domain per year) and hosting (less than $10 a month for unlimited hosting - what you need if you plan to have multiple sites, can host all your sites using the same acct). You can actually save some money starting out by promoting a product that you already know about and own (and gets searches). If it's an info product, you can contact the product creator and ask for review access (free). Just tell them you want to promote the product and what not.

Not sure I would go the micro niche way, there's a good discussion about that here. https://www.warriorforum.com/main-in...icrosites.html

I do agree with Miguelito203 though, you don't need to spend your $400, so you can get into niche blogging and still have money left over for clothes!

It is a good idea but I would start with not more than 3 micro site.
The key of success is traffic , so you should invest into a PPC campaign focus on 3 niches, not more.

You can end up building pretty decent-sized list with that budget with paid traffic man, and if you can provide value first, you can mint from that list

If i had $400 to invest, here's what i would do:

    - Find a niche who has a strong want and desire
    - Get a website
    - Get an autoresponder
    - Set up squeeze page
    - Drive traffic to squeeze page
    - Promote a recurring income affiliate program to the leads who subscribe
    - Use the rest of the money to advertise and generate more leads

Could you see yourself doing that? Easy right? The best part comes when you have $4,000 to invest - not $400.

I think this response is on point. I have a weekly budget that I use to send solo ad traffic to a squeeze page.I can make sales and collect leads from people that opt into my list so I can send multiple offers even if they don't but at first

    10 micro niche website.

    problem is can manageable?

of course if you can afford to hire writer ...

constantly update the site ..well no problem,.
but if budget constraint I feel harder hard to maintain 10 micro site.

You might like this method you might not but here it goes!

$400 business breakdown.. (this is what I would do)

I would offer local bushiness`s a leaflet drop / promotional hand out service.. I would get a design done on Fiverr to promote my business..$5 dollars..

That leaves $495.. ( I am good at maths).. then get my leaflets produced local printer (get quote) or vistaprint. at least 1,000 should cost any more than $150.00.

That leaves $300.. either deliver them yourself (free) or someone else pay them $50.. to do it for you.

That leaves $250.. ( up to you what you do with the rest).. I would charge at least $60 dollars to do a local leaflet drop for each business you acquire..again up to you but I would get some else to do it for you..

I started a business like this 5 years ago from scratch.. it takes a little bit of time but relatively simple to implement and you can get up and running within a month...

Restaurants are great little earners as well as the local garage guy.. I had about 100 business owners on my books that gave me a steady passive income... I sold the business 2 years later for $8,000. so it works, and $400 would be a nice little way to start something like this up..

      All the best

I would spend it on traffic. But I would be careful to test first otherwise you could lose $400 really quickly

    For me really.
Would invest it on CPA and some paid traffic sources + social locker.
Hit me up if you want to know more about my combination.

But it all depends on you if you want to automate or want to do it manually.
    Earn weekly or earn monthly.
Want to scale your business or not Really depends

I wouldn't go the "micro-niche" route. IMO this is not solid business. I would spend the money on paid traffic to build a list.

My advise to you would be to build up your own squeeze page with the $400. Thats more than plenty to start up an internet marketing business.

Purchase a domain name for about $12, Hosting for $10/month, and an autoresponder for $19/month. Set enough money aside to pay for these for an extra month or two and the remaining can be invested into paid traffic to drive some sales and build up a email list for yourself.

Minisites still works but don't expect very good traffic from organic search. You will have to use paid traffic to drive visitors to these sites.

In my view, microsites are not doing that great after Google took away the EMD advantage. You can see not many WSOs are promoting this route now. So either invest that money in building a list by paid traffic, or invest that for building an authority site.

If I had $400, I would spend it at the rate of $25 at a time on virtual assistants.

I would use virtual assistant to research certain types of niche websites.

I would use their research to create a system where the niche website pretty much builds itself.

I really cannot go into any details here because I do not want to share my secret sauce, but there is a way to build a high-quality authoritative website from scratch through its own self-replicating process.

No, I am not talking about using software.

No, I am not talking about using low-quality outsource writing.

I am talking about dealing with third parties in such a way that the content generation process that you build results in a triple win.

    Who are the triple winners?

First, you win because you save a lot of money on content and you get high-quality content that draws more traffic.

The third party wins because they get a nice platform.

The end user wins because they get high-quality, niche-specific traffic.

That is how I would use $400.

A lot of that would probably go into design, hosting and the other basic stuff, and then half would go into virtual assistants.

I then build the asset with $400 and essentially just wait for the third party players to build my website for me.

I have been working on the internet for over 15 years and this is one of the most powerful revelations that I have arrived at.

I have been doing it wrong all along.

I was spending a lot of time, effort and money trying to build my website when, little did I know, there are enough ingredients out there to create website platforms that essentially build themselves.

Once the website has built itself to a high enough level of traffic, I would then sell it for hopefully five figures on Flippa.

I'd first look at what I already had, what I needed to be successful, and use the money to bridge that gap.

myself, I'd hire someone to find me x amount of profitable, low competition keywords then outsource the writing of articles around those keywords.

Repeat for a few other authority sites I own to spread my risk.

The process changes depending on what you already have built out.

Getting a successful marketer to coach you is the safest/smartest thing to do. If you have no experience with making money online then chances are you're going to make mistakes on your own and any early success will be dependent mostly on luck.

If you don't want to get a coach, you should get some form of training that is proven to work from a marketer you trust.
