Hey,

Has anyone had any success using wordpress to create landing pages and advertise them on PPV? If you can share any tips about themes, plugins, widgets, etc... Thanks.

Best Regards,

Daniel

This is probably not the answer you're looking for, but I personally would not ever recommend using WordPress for PPV landing pages, especially when running a large amount of traffic.

Since PPV traffic is mostly interruption traffic, it requires lightning fast loading times or else a significant amount of traffic will be going to waste when the user closes the window before even having the chance to see your offer. WordPress will only cause an additional load on your server when accessing multiple files, plugins, and content from the database.

I tested loading speeds for two of my landing pages, one being a WordPress page for PPC and other being a traditionally designed page I'm using for PPV. The WordPress page took 2,5 seconds and 3,3MB of data to download, while the PPV landing page took only 553ms and 400kb of data to download. In PPC this would not matter that much conversion wise as the user already knows what he/she is looking for, but in PPV this can make or break a campaign.

Stick to HTML/CSS pages and enjoy the competitive advantage.

    Have a great day,
