Have a site no visitors - Marketing help needed

Hey Warriors,

I have a blog which has PR4. But, I am getting 1 or 2 visitors per day. Even, that blog is listed in google for some keyword search on Page 3, 4 and etc. So, Is there any ways to get more visitors to my site rather than via search engines? I heard there are many ways, but wonder on which method has to be chosen? and how the processes have to be carried out? Advice me...

use the search feature of the forum. This will give you some leads to chase up on and then people here can answer your specific questions regarding each method

I think the most basic thing to do is use social bookmarking.
    bookmark your blog posts on:
    mix.com
    fark.com
    redit.com
    and so on...

i get a lot of my traffic that way

Here is another case of having great PR but not much going on in the SERPs department.

Do you have a list of keywords you are targeting? Or is this a broad niche site?

Try getting some high PR backlinks with your keyword anchor text as well. Or you can always write some articles on Ezine or Go articles to get at least a decent amount of traffic to start with.

Go for paid banner advertising. It is gamble but if it works it can bring you not just visitors but customers.

    1. Use social bookmarking.

    2. Build backlinks (slowly) on High PR sites.

    3. Participate in related forums with your blog in your signature.

    Hope this helps.

When I started my blog I found the quickest way to start some movement towards the site was to post a link to Twitter each time I put a new post on the blog.

    Hope it helps

In addition to the above, I recommend all or some of the following:

    * Write and submit articles daily or as often as possible.
    * Visit related high traffic blogs and post a comment on as many blog post as possible. The more comments you post, the more traffic you'll get.
*Make videos related to your website and post them to the likes of Youtube and co.

All the these are free methods and the aim is to get as many backlinks to your site, that way your traffic will increase further with time. If you want fast traffic, then by all means try Google Adwords. That could be quite expensive but will balance out if you do things right.
