HELL YEAH! Free traffic is still a very viable traffic strategy. Look into forum marketing, and using social media sites like Reddit, and Twitter. Those are a couple really good ones that can bring in lots of traffic.

There is a big difference between free internet marketing strategies and very spammy internet marketing strategies.

I get a lot of free traffic from Facebook alone. And that is because I have taken the time to DO IT RIGHT.

Don't implement spammy ways to trick people to click on your site, that is never a good way to get traffic. NEVER. As you said, social networks work hard to detect spammers.

I don't spam people on Facebook, at all. And I still get good traffic to my blogs, videos, and landing pages for free - just from facebook.

One of the best traffic sources online - are the search engines. Because this type of traffic can be very targeted!

Of course the free traffic is still working. There is no doubt about it. You can use the Social media sites, Forum Posting, Relevant Blog commenting, Article submission & so on. All of these ways you can use at free of cost. Of course these are still good way to increase your site traffic & sale also. Thanks a lot.

If you are just spamming, then even free traffic will be hard to get. Instead, I suggest you come up with a better strategy for getting people to your website .

That is why I continue to create educational articles and videos. It's cheaper than advertising and you can get 1,000s of new leads from a single article.

It might take you 4 hours to write an article, and you may only get 100 views the first month, but you have to think about the long-term results you get from the article. 100 views per month over 12 months is now 1200 views.

As far as paid traffic, there is no long-term benefits. You get a few clicks to your website and then you have to spend more money to get more clicks. It may be profitable in the beginning if you have an amazing offer, but eventually, you will get tired of having to spend a large chunk of your profits into more advertising.

It's up to you how you drive traffic, but I just feel like content is a better ROI in the end.

definitely free traffic is best, From my experience organic traffic can makes more sales, I tried paid traffic but really don't satisfied with that type of traffic. But organic traffic is kind of more targeted traffic.

If you are trying to be Spammy, then you are doing it all wrong.

Spammers are 'takers'. Not saying this is you. Just referring to your words.

Instead become a person of value. Then your traffic will start working in your favor instead of against you.

My favorite sources for free traffic is SEO and Social sites. The fact is everyone uses Google to find stuff or research stuff before they buy it online. And people are addicted to social media, always will be.

The best way to see if free traffic works for you is, try it and see which method gives you the best results. Google "free traffic generation methods" and see what comes up.

Of course both free and paid traffic works well. I usually go for paid traffic to get a "flying start", then start doing free traffic from Youtube, blogs...etc. Free traffic can often be a long term project, but it all depends on niche, keywords, competition...etc..etc.

Free traffic still works and so does paid traffic, though it will depend on where you get it from. Webtrafficgeeks is a pretty good option and so is traffmaster from what I hear.

Free traffic can be effective. Paid traffic can be effective also.

You can also easily lose time and/or money on both.

I got my start online by using free traffic (free classified ads on various sites, even on free foreign classified ad sites such as MundoAnuncio dot com and others) so it holds a cherished place in my heart.

I also used MySpace and Tagged for free traffic back in the day.

These days, I use both free and paid traffic methods. However, even for the "free" traffic methods, I tend to outsource those tasks, so it is no longer free in my case. But for someone with a more limited ad budget, free methods could still work, if done the right way. Just more time-consuming.

They only detect spam when its BS low value Sh** they don't want on their sites. Social media and youtube etc are built on quality.......don't categorise all networks. There are people that make a killing from free traffic methods....just ask the bum marketer and his methods
