BigNews.biz is an On-line Press Release and World News Distribution Center

This is not from me, it's from the owner of BigNews.biz Is Your Free Press Release and World News Distribution Center - and it is an EXCELLENT resource. There are a lot of free press release sites out there that are just a complete waste of your time.

From my experience - the free press release sites that seem to send traffic, get to the top of the search engines, and stay at the top of the search engines, are: BigNews.biz Is Your Free Press Release and World News Distribution Center, Free Press Release Distribution, www.free-press-release-com, i-newswire.com, PressReleasePoint | Free Press Release Distribution Website | Submit Press Releases, and Press Release Distribution & Free Press Release Submit @ 1888 PressRelease.com

And www.webwire.com gives fantastic results for only $19.95

If I wanted to launch an online publicity campaign and was pressed for time and money, I would use those sites.

More press release tips: Put your best keyword phrase in the headline. This is my secret weapon for press release search engine domination.

Drat. I just told you, so it's not a secret weapon any more. I take it back! Keywords are useless, I tell you!

    Dana,

Thanks for the list. I've heard good things about Webwire.

In your opinion, is PR Web worth the investment, or have you experienced similiar results using Webwire?

    Thanks,
    John

Thanks Dana. Very timely, I need to write a press release and my last experience with a free one was not that great.

Yeah, some of them are really a waste of time and it is also very time consuming to submit to them, so you really want to stick to the ones that get good results. I would absolutely trust the ones that Phil mentions in the bignews.biz post that I cited in the OP.

Thanks for that - was just about to do a couple of press releases based around a new site/forum launch

To be really, really cheeky what paid services to you suggest? Webwire is obviously one - any others? (feel free to tell me to bwgr off and stop trying to get your press release secrets!)

PRWeb is good. It's honestly hard for me to say whether their $80 service delivers four times the results of Webwire's $19.95 service. I also find press release results vary widely depending on what the press release is about.

Here is what I suggest: Experiment with PRWeb. Use them AND Webwire, see what seems to get the best results, and then go with whoever really delivered for you.

PRNewswire is a super expensive paid service with a great reputation. Their release distribution services cost in the $400-$650 range.

To be honest with you - I don't know that most internet marketers are going to get $650 worth of sales by using their services, so I would hesitate to recommend them to someone on a really tight budget.
