Help with keyword testing

I would like to see what keywords are converting on my landing page. I remember doing it before but had forgotten exactly how to go about doing it. I'm also promoting a clickbank product and am confused in a few spots and I'm hoping everyone can help me out:

1. I send traffic through ppc to my landing page to obtain email and then to the sales page

2. send traffic through ppc to my landing page and then to thank you page to verify their email. They then go to the email and click the verification link that sends them straight to the sales page

which is better? Must i decide whether i want to capture leads or get sales? This is really confusing me hope someone can help along with tracking conversions

      What program are you using for email?

      If you're using aweber, there's a way to store the tracking variable and then repopulate the link when the link gets created.

      If you're promoting products in addition to Clickbank products it gets a bit trickier, but could still be done.
